I hope you all have a great weekend. What are you up to? Are you doing well? How’s the weather?

It’s cooled off wonderfully—I hope it stays this way for the rest of the summer. I really don’t need more than these 23–25°; unfortunately, it won’t last, because starting next Tuesday, temperatures are supposed to rise again.

It’s gotten much cooler here—18–19 degrees. But that’s fine; it gives me a chance to get back on the computer and do some tidying up.

We’re having guests over on Sunday, so I’ll be baking a cake tomorrow. I’m really looking forward to it.

Luckily, it’s a bit cooler—that’s just how I like it. I don’t like the heat at all. As far as I’m concerned, these pleasant temperatures can stick around.

Summer is taking a short break here, too. We’d hoped for more rain, but it hasn’t really been enough. Starting Monday, it looks like the heat will be back everywhere. Until then, there’s time for everything you can’t do when it’s hot. We’re having guests. I would have preferred warm weather for visitors—then we could be outside—but as it is, we’ll probably end up staying indoors.

It’s also very pleasant here right now, and yesterday it even rained pretty hard. But when I read what they’re predicting for the end of next week… that’s going to be a blast. I really don’t need another stretch of days around 40 degrees, but nobody asks me anyway.
Tomorrow my husband is finally getting his walker; we’ll try it out while it’s not too hot yet—at 40 degrees, we try not to move around at all if possible.

Right now I’m still knitting a thick wool blanket, but after that I’ll need to work on something summery again. :-)

15 degrees in July. Cloudy.
This isn’t the kind of weather to test out my new Vespa.
So I grabbed my old coat hangers and am going to crochet around them.
