How warm is it where you are?

In the shade on the patio 

Dear Petra, we’ve set up an old-fashioned thermometer on the patio (in the shade). It reads... 37.5 degrees. So it’s nice and warm. That’s why I’m inside right now. Everything’s shut tight, and the blinds are all down. Tonight I’ll go back outside and water my plants in the garden. I already did that this morning, but with these temperatures, they’ll need another round in the evening.

here in Mainfranken, the thermometer reads 35°; I haven’t set foot outside yet today—and with this sweltering heat, I don’t need to. We’ve got everything shut tight and sealed up here, too—otherwise, you just couldn’t stand it.

It’s just under 36 degrees in western Cologne. But since the nights were still very pleasant until yesterday, it’s still really nice in the apartment—we can leave all the windows and the balcony door open at night, so it gets nicely ventilated.
Otherwise, we’re just moving around as little as possible, but we can still crochet and read. :-)

My phone says it’s 34 degrees. We don’t have a thermometer.
I’ve pulled the roller shade on the balcony door in the bedroom all the way down, so air can come in and my cats stay inside.
Our balcony gets really hot because it’s in the sun 🌞 from morning to night. Luckily, we live near the forest.

It's currently 33 degrees—the high was 34 degrees.

I live in the attic.
Luckily, the living room has shutters.

Wow, it was really hot where you are today! It’s like being in a sauna!

It was only 28 degrees here today, and it was perfectly comfortable outside in the shady garden. Tomorrow it’s supposed to reach 34 degrees. I’d rather be indoors then. At least we’ll treat ourselves to breakfast in the garden.

It’s 35 degrees here right now. I’d rather stay inside for now and take it easy.

This morning, I picked a whole bowl of currants before 8 a.m. It was very pleasant in the garden then. 

it’s 36° here and the sun is shining brightly; I’ve been lying here almost the whole afternoon because doing anything is way too tiring :-) ;-)

It’s already cooled down quite a bit here at night—it dropped to 18 degrees. Today it’s windy, slightly cloudy, and pleasant, with no cleansing thunderstorms at all. That was a brief heat wave—and that’s just fine.

It's the same here. Temperatures are pretty normal today—about 23 degrees. It's wonderful.
That's all I need.

7:00 p.m. in the garden: 33.5 degrees; inside the house: 24.8 degrees
—with a fan on, it’s bearable :-)

It was 33 degrees here today. It was bearable in a shady spot in the garden. But at 3 p.m., I went inside—it was just too hot for me. Even tonight, it’s still well over 20 degrees.

It's very pleasant here; it was really only that hot on Saturday. That's good. And today we even got a really beautiful evening sky:

We’re on vacation right now in Kühlungsborn. There’s a bit of a breeze here. A pleasant 25°. We were even able to ride the Ferris wheel in the evening and sit on the beach watching the sun set.

It’s 23 degrees here today—that’s a nice chance to catch our breath. Tomorrow it’ll be 29 degrees again, but that’s still quite bearable.

Yeah, I could use a trip to the beach right now, too!
It’s getting muggy here again, and they’re forecasting thunderstorms for tomorrow and the day after. We hit 29 degrees today, and it’s supposed to get even warmer tomorrow.

As soon as we got here, the heat hit us, and the air conditioning on the trains was broken—we were sweltering. It wasn’t pleasant.
I read that it’s supposed to get even hotter starting Monday—oh dear.

It's terribly muggy here. And every now and then, some promising dark clouds roll by, but that's all—they just pass by and disappear again.
