No, thanks—walking around like a parrot was a thing back then. Aside from that, these fabrics are anything but breathable; you literally *simmer* in your own juices when wearing them. I didn’t like them back then, and not much has changed since. Okay, a lot of what was trendy in the ’70s and ’80s is back in style today, but what I didn’t go along with back then, I certainly don’t want to deal with now that I’m older.
Well, you didn’t really wear it close to the body… an open, colorful jacket over a white tank top and a chest hair toupee… that was pretty breezy. :-))))
Did we actually walk around in that too? I mean, us girls? I don't think so; at least I didn't have one. I remember it more as men's clothing. To go with the men's perm .... :-))))
Veronika, the girls wore those “Po frisst Hose” pants with those cuffs on their legs and wrists, and a headband so you could see something under their “Rollpudel” hairstyle :-)))😁😆. Those pants and jackets were also available for women
Best regards, Inge
Sorry, we’ve hijacked the “Memories” thread (and I haven’t laughed this hard at a mental image in a long time…), but I had no idea this was still a thing today. I haven’t seen balloon silk in ages, and I haven’t come across any when ordering fabric either.
