Crochet:


The “Autumn Leaf” shawl is crocheted using only double crochets. At first, it’s worked like a star-shaped blanket, with increases at the points. Later, the points are worked individually. The color gradient comes from the skein itself, so you don’t have to worry about color changes.

Tunisian crochet:


If you’d like to try Tunisian crochet, this bag is a great way to practice the basic technique without having to worry about color changes or increases. You simply crochet a rectangle using the basic Tunisian stitch. Then, the rectangle is folded origami-style and sewn together. Add a decorative border and a handle—and you’ve got a beautiful market bag!

Knitting:


If you prefer knitting, you might enjoy knitting the “Blue Lagoon” sweater while watching TV. It features a simple lace pattern that spans two rows. The sweater is knitted with thin sock yarn, making it wonderfully light. Yet it still keeps you warm on cool evenings. You can also wear it in winter with a shirt underneath.
