My husband’s birthday is on Sunday, and with this lovely weather we’ll be enjoying some delicious cake in the garden.

I’ll probably finish the knitted blanket, since the thunderstorms are supposed to stick around here—one just passed through again a moment ago.
And then we’ll watch some DVDs, because we treated ourselves to a new, slightly bigger TV; the old one was acting up more and more after 11 years, and you can’t even get that kind of thing repaired anymore.

It’s already started thundering here, and it’s raining—at least that brings in a cool breeze, which is nice.

I have the weekend off, so I can do whatever I want to my heart’s content—whether it’s crafts or something similar, sleeping in, or having a leisurely breakfast with fresh rolls from the bakery.

In any case, it won’t be boring. Maybe I’ll go to the Sunday afternoon dance again—who knows.

Hello, everyone!
I hope you all made it through yesterday’s storms safely. It’s gotten much cooler here. Tomorrow, my son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren are coming to visit. They’ll be staying all day, so we’ll have plenty of time for everything. After breakfast, I’ll bake a strawberry cake, and then do a little house cleaning. But crocheting is also on my agenda.

The Blautopf is very impressive.

WOW, the “Blautopf” looks amazing. As far as colors go, I’ve only ever seen anything like this in the Caribbean.

Yes, the color is definitely unique to the Swabian Alb.
