How was Easter?

Dear users, dear authors,
how was your Easter?

Very quiet—we stayed home and didn’t even go out, because at times it felt like someone had kicked me in the left hip—it hurt that much, so I wasn’t about to run around outside. I sat at my embroidery machine and sewing machine when I wasn’t lying down.

We had a lovely long weekend with lots of family. The weather was sunny, and with a warm jacket, it was quite pleasant outside. 

It was quiet—just as planned—but the weather was absolutely fantastic. I actually went for a walk, but otherwise I just enjoyed the balcony.

We spent Easter with the family. My son and my brother came to visit.
On Sunday, we had a barbecue at my parents’ house, and yesterday, Easter Monday afternoon, we went to the Easter dance.
The weather was nice and sunny.

Everyone made it home safely. Back to work today and tomorrow.
And enjoying the peace and quiet.

It was really nice—I wish every weekend were four days long^^

My food was a hit again; my husband and our guests even got to go for a walk in between meals while the weather was great.

On Easter morning, we were at the Easter bonfire at 6 a.m. before the early service, followed by breakfast at the parish hall. Before the “regular” Easter service, I prepped black salsify and carrots for lunch, since our younger daughter was coming to visit with her partner and baby. We had a quiet afternoon with a mostly cheerful Selina. On Monday, we set out on our first hike of the 2022 season. We enjoyed the sweeping view over the rolling Emmental landscape all the way to the snow-capped Alps (pretty hazy!), but unfortunately we’d overlooked the fact that most of the trail was paved… Well, I guess you should be able to read properly!
