My internet is cr...
It was working this morning, but now it's not. I'm in the middle of filing my taxes and there are still a few little things missing. They're in my email, but I can't access it. It's just so annoying.

Welcome to the club. We specifically switched to fiber-optic internet. Still, there’s barely any Wi-Fi on my computer—not even with a USB dongle booster.
Now I’ve given up and bought an Ethernet cable that runs all the way across the apartment to the router. And that in 2022....

Well, 2022 just isn’t here yet everywhere—not even here (in the metropolis of Cologne). We don’t have fiber-optic yet; sure, it’s on the outskirts, but it’s not the very last house way out there... Wi-Fi is a bit of a disaster—there are various repeaters around here, but that’s no guarantee.
We watch TV via the Magenta TV Stick, which can be just as hit-or-miss at times.
All in all, it’s pretty unpleasant, and yeah, I’d expected a bit more from the 21st century.

A groundworks contractor is coming to us on Tuesday… I’ve been having occasional problems with the Wi-Fi…
  But let me start from the beginning... Last week, a very enthusiastic Telekom employee called and said there had been frequent internet issues lately, and I could “upgrade” my connection for just €5 more a month... I agreed at first because we only have a 50Mbit connection... In hindsight, I thought to myself, why should I pay more when it’s working just fine (Magenta TV box)? So I called to cancel it, and somehow—because of my issue with the occasional outage—I was transferred to a technician, who then determined that there were problems with the line that he couldn’t fix from there. Yesterday, a technician came out and checked the house connection, which is located on the neighbor’s property—and it seems they may have “damaged” it a bit during the partial demolition of their house. … In any case, nothing should have been coming through here anymore… 
Bottom line... if Telekom had simply checked the line right from the start, they would have realized that even more data volume wouldn’t have made a difference... Except in my wallet..... 

The technician came by on Monday. The internet and phone are working again. The cable was broken.

I think when it doesn’t work properly—or not at all—that’s when you really notice how much you need it. I don’t actually use the internet “much,” but those two days when the technicians were here were pretty awful… no WhatsApp and no forum here on CP…
  Those are little “rituals,” like having a morning coffee and quickly checking what’s new here.... It’s working again for us too....
