tomorrow my daughter-in-law—who’s eight months pregnant—and my 3-year-old grandson are coming to visit for the whole day. Exciting toys are all set out. I’ve made red Jell-O. For lunch, we’ll have fish sticks with mashed potatoes—classic kids’ food. The weather’s the kind that makes you want to stay indoors; it’s supposed to rain all day.
Now I’m going to start setting up the big marble run…
I wish everyone a wonderful weekend. Next week it’ll already be February, and then spring will be here very soon!
For us, the weekend already started today... with blue skies and sunshine.
It only got quite overcast in the afternoon, but it stayed dry. In any case, I was able to enjoy an hour-long afternoon walk with the dog.
And my laundry dried too 👍
Let’s see what tomorrow brings...
Have a lovely weekend, everyone
Have a great weekend, everyone!
It was actually sunny today—wonderful. After such a long, gloomy stretch, that really did me a world of good. But tomorrow it’s supposed to be gray and dreary again. Oh well, it’s winter.
I’m working on a crochet commission, so I don’t really care about the weather.
My two grandchildren (ages 5 and 3) are staying with us during the holidays 😍
We have about 25 cm of snow.... so, just like yesterday, we’ll be out in the snow this afternoon... the grandchildren are enjoying it.... romping around in the snow...
For lunch today, the grandchildren asked for mashed potatoes with a “little lake” 😂
Craft-wise, things are coming along; my cable-pattern jacket is growing.... even if I keep having to unravel it....
Since the sun was already out this morning, I quickly ran a load of laundry, and now the clothes are drying on the clothesline… Sports week is starting here, but the weather forecast doesn’t sound very promising so far! For me, that means an empty schedule except for Friday (when I’m working in the cafeteria).
Tomorrow, after church, we’ll probably go out for coffee again with our friends, and then I should finally get around to writing those long-overdue letters…
I’d also like to wish everyone a wonderful weekend. The weather here is gray and dreary, and there’s a cold, gusty wind blowing, so it’s best to stay indoors.
Well then, I wish you all a wonderful weekend, too.
Get cozy on the couch with your craft supplies.
Unfortunately, I have to work this weekend, and strong hurricane-force gusts have been forecast for tonight. Hopefully no trees will come crashing down.
Ina: I’m sure there will be lots of joy when the grandchildren and daughter-in-law come to visit, and everything sounds so child-friendly and inviting at your place. I’d love to stop by, too. My kids always loved fish sticks, too. Yum.
Well, have fun, everyone.
bergli, and you have snow? Hopefully with some sun.
Nah, I don’t want snow right now—we had enough of that in Norway; it was meters deep there. I want spring.
Well, I’m going to crochet a few more rows on my commissioned Easter bunnies, wash my hair, drink a cappuccino, and then the evening will be over before I know it—I have to get up early tomorrow.

Yes, we have snow and sunshine—it’s simply wonderful 😊. But then again, I do live in the mountains at 1,309 meters above sea level 😀. Winter is beautiful—I enjoy the snow and sun, but also the days when the weather is rough—though I look forward to every spring when it gets warmer and everything starts to bloom...
In winter, I have plenty of time to bring my ideas to life 😊, and there are quite a few of them 😁. Considering all my ideas, winter is far too short 😋
