Do you have Christmas weather?

what is your weather doing?

We actually do have Christmas weather. It’s just as gray and slushy as it’s been at Christmas in recent years :)

Never mind—it’ll be dark by evening anyway, and it’s nice inside :) 

What is Christmas weather?

For me, Christmas weather means lots of snow, bitter cold, and sunshine.

We have sunshine today, but the snow is missing. There are still 4 days to go.... let’s see what St. Peter has in store 

Right now, the sun is shining here.
The sky is cloudy from time to time.

It’s sunny and crisp here today, but there’s no snow, and as for Christmas Eve, we’ll just have to take it as it comes. On the one hand, snow would be nice, but on the other, I’d be stuck indoors for sure, because with snow and icy conditions, the risk of me falling is way too high.

Classic Cologne Christmas weather would be 10 degrees and pouring rain. The temperature is right, but today the sun is shining.

I’m enjoying the sun today—it’s been shining again for the first time in days. It’s balm for the soul. It’s supposed to get colder over the next few days and even snow again. That would be a lovely Christmas gift from nature.

Snow is unheard of here near Ludwigsburg.

It was almost impossible to walk there because the streets hadn’t been plowed.

We’re currently spending a few days in Malbun, Liechtenstein. Last night, my husband walked up the slope with his snowboard and then rode down in the bright moonlight. He took this photo from the slope. Now that’s what I call Christmas weather :-)

The sun is shining again here today—it’s minus 5 degrees, and everything in the garden is covered in frost.

I’m looking forward to my walk at noon today and will enjoy the sunshine.

We may not have any snow, but Ludwigsburg has a wonderful Baroque Christmas market.

And until three years ago, I used to really let loose for two days every year at the Rockfabrik 🤣🤣🤘🤘

Sonja, that’s exactly what you’d imagine ideal Christmas weather to be like! Today was a freezing day, but there are only a few pitiful remnants of snow left. Now it’s supposed to get warmer (and maybe even rain)… just like it usually has in recent years! It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to enjoy a truly white Christmas.

It looks like we're in for a "Christmas in clover, Easter in the snow" kind of winter here.

After three days of bitter cold and a bright blue sky, today was rather gray. But very, very cold.

Why do we always think it has to snow at Christmas? 🤔 Not to mention that, statistically speaking, it’s actually pretty rare here—it definitely didn’t snow in Bethlehem back then. 😉

It’s snowing here too, but nothing is settling because it’s too warm.

Here's what it looks like here: 

Here in Swabia, at the foot of the Swabian Alb, it’s raining and the temperatures are like spring.

We went for a short walk, and now I’m sitting in my corner of the sofa with some tea and my knitting 

Today it’s a crisp -11°C and the sun is shining. There are even frost flowers on the patio.

We’re getting a little sun here right now, too. It feels more like spring than winter. 

We have a little snow here and it’s freezing cold. Wishing everyone a lovely second Christmas evening. Best regards, Veronika
