Gladdis pattern by Verena

Hi,
I’ve hit a snag with the Gladdis pattern. In the instructions: Knit the held stitches of the band together with the back piece using a slip-over knit decrease.
The first row is no problem, and sliding the stitches back to the other end of the needle is also no problem. But how do I bring the yarn to the front so I can knit from * to * again?
The work should not be turned!

Hello, is this like a knitted cord? That’s how it reads to me.

Once the stitches have been knitted, everything is slid back to the right-hand end of the needle. The yarn is on the left and is then taken behind the work to knit the 1st stitch on the needle. 





I hope I understood the question correctly.

I also think it’s an “I-cord.” ...
I just took a look at it, very chic,
and Petra is right 🙈😇 It is an I-cord.... There are tons of videos online.... Why didn’t they mention “what” they’re knitting there? 🤔

Well, if the pattern is from “Verena,” you’re not likely to get a “satisfactory” answer—at least that’s been my experience. They tend to give rather superficial replies.
