Felting is fun! Once you've tried it, you can't stop. I do leave the felting to the washing machine, though. Exactly how it works and what you need to keep in mind is explained in each of my patterns. You just have to choose a model and make it; the felting process is the same for all of them. I'll show you a few of my favorite patterns on the topic of felted knitting.

Felt boots with rolled cuffs in all sizes
Here we knit the felt shoe and cuff separately. The felt shoe goes into the washing machine for felting. The rolled cuff is then sewn on. If you knit the rolled cuff from "good wool," it keeps the foot nice and warm.

One-step felt booties
This felt shoe is knitted in one piece and felted in the washing machine as usual.





Felt shoes with handmade leather soles
Here you can make the felt shoe, and if you like, you can make matching leather soles for it too. You can also apply anti-slip coating under the sole. Without the little knitted edging, they are ballet flats.
