what are your plans? Have a great time, everyone.

Thank you, Josefa—I wish the same for you too, and of course for everyone else here on the forum.

Unfortunately, I have to work. Every employee is needed, since some colleagues are off sick and now also with COVID-19; there are already COVID-19 cases on the two lower floors. Not yet up here, but all the residents have to stay in their rooms for now.
We’re all being tested every day.

It’s really sad.

I’m going to use the weekend to catch up on a few things and tidy up a bit. Of course, I’ll also be taking it easy, and my knitting needles are all set and ready to go.

We went for a long walk in the sun today. It was wonderful.

We don’t have any specific plans for the rest of the weekend. Knitting, sewing, baking—we’ll see how the weather turns out.

Andrea, it’s really awful what you have to report. Lots of people together and the virus has every chance.

We’ve had nothing but sunshine for the past two days 🌞—before that, we had a few days of thick fog. It’s lovely 🌞.

I’m putting the finishing touches on a few things—doing some sewing and embroidery—the Christmas market is next weekend..... 

Thanks, Josefa. Have a great weekend, too—and to everyone else as well. I’ll be keeping my embroidery machine busy; right now it’s working on a window decoration. I’ve already embroidered two Christmas lanterns, but they still need to be washed and then dried. They’re all going to be Christmas gifts—nothing big, but I haven’t forgotten about you.

Oh, the mountains—so you’ve stolen the sun from us… We’ve been stuck in the fog for two days now; it looks pretty from our warm living room, but it feels uncomfortably chilly out there.
We have our Christmas market next Friday and are hoping the weather won’t be too bad. But first, we still have to bake lots of cookies and Grittibänzli (little braided dough figures). We have a school kitchen at our disposal for that. The women involved love these evenings, and many of them come back every year. We use the proceeds from the sale to support charitable organizations in the region.

We had thick, wet, cold fog from Sunday to Thursday... and now sunshine.
The sunshine has to be earned 🙈🙊😊

Thanks, Bergli! Today, in gray but thankfully dry weather, we placed a candle in front of every grave at the cemetery—it looks beautiful in the darkness. Our church congregation has been doing this for several years now, and we look forward to this reflective moment every year.
