Favorite Boots?

do you like wearing boots, or not so much? Do you have favorite boots?

Since winters in Germany—at least in my area—aren’t as cold as they used to be, I’ve been wearing boots less and less in recent years. I do have a few in my closet just in case. But most of the time, my ankle boots are enough. For me, it’s important that they’re made of leather, that you can adjust them to fit your foot (i.e. lace them up), and that they aren’t too high. My favorite ankle boots meet exactly these requirements. They fit like a glove, I can put in my warm insoles, and they keep me warm and safe when I’m out and about. For me, the days when boots or shoes also had to be stylish are over. I don’t want to slip, and I don’t want cold feet. In any case, I have my favorite boots in the closet.

I wear lace-up shoes. I don’t wear boots. 

I wanted to buy a pair of ankle boots for the winter because I have good support in this type of shoe, BUT I can’t get my foot into them anymore, so I’ll go for a sturdy low shoe for the winter

I’m a huge fan of boots.
In winter, I love wearing my lambskin-lined Dr. Martens boots the most.
I also have several pairs of Kickers boots.
And—yes, really 😁—a pair of lined rubber boots that I absolutely love to wear.

In the past it was more boots (like in Pretty Woman), with little skirts; these days, though, it’s ankle boots and pants.
Even in Norway I hardly wore boots. I had my hiking shoes or ankle-high shoes with fur inside. Since they had dry, cold winters there, those ankle boots were definitely enough.
I like leather ankle boots. The ones made of suede don’t do well at all in thawing weather. I had those too. Never again.
Above all, they need to have a nice thick, non-slip, ridged sole, although those little pebbles always got stuck in it.
In any case, I always picked out shoes that would go with skirts as well as with pants.
