Hello,
what are your favorite TV series?

I love Little House on the Prairie , and when I’m crocheting while watching it, I sometimes have to stop because a little tear falls since it’s so touching.
I like Quincy for his sense of justice.
With King of Queens I still have to laugh even after watching it a thousand times.
The same goes for Monk

Monk I don’t like. Quincy and Diagnosis: Murder I enjoy watching.

I love cartoons instead, mostly the older ones.

I like *Quincy* too.
*Columbo* is on my list, as is *Navy CIS*.

I also watch *Diagnosis Murder* every now and then, and I really enjoy *Columbo* too. I think it’s great that they’re showing those old series from back in the day again. *Charlie’s Angels* is on somewhere too—I used to love watching that as well.

I used to enjoy *CSI*, *SWAT*, *Barnaby*, *CSI: Las Vegas*, and their spin-offs from New York and Miami, but I don’t want to subject
myself to the umpteenth rerun of those anymore. I don’t watch all those old shows like *Columbo* and so on anymore—I’ve already seen them; I don’t need them anymore.

Best, Inge

Oh yeah, I’ve always loved *Little House on the Prairie* too… But I’m not watching it right now, because otherwise it’ll lose its charm for me.
I watch *Dahoam is Dahoam*, though I’m watching it less and less these days because the storylines aren’t as good anymore and a lot of the familiar actors are leaving the show… Otherwise, I like mysteries, horror, and (psychological) thrillers. Most recently, I watched *The Five* by Harlan Coben—it was incredibly suspenseful.
In general, I love series that I can stream and that are perfect for “binge-watching.” Sometimes I’ll watch an entire season in just two days, and afterward I feel really sad because I have to wait forever for the next one… XD

I loved Monk. Unfortunately, I don’t think you can watch it a second time because I already know who the killer is—that is, I already know how the series ends. I think that’s a real shame.

Then I loved “How I Met Your Mother.” And of course, I watched “The Big Bang Theory.” We even went out of our way to visit The Cheesecake Factory when we were in America.

When I was young, I never missed an episode of “Lindenstraße.” And I watched every season of “Friends” and “Ally McBeal,” too. But when I watch them today, I don’t understand my passion for them back then anymore.

I like "Mord mit Aussicht," even on endless reruns! Apparently, six new episodes have been filmed, but with a completely new female inspector and two new police officers. I really can’t imagine how that’s supposed to work.

"Barnaby" is also one of my favorites. But it always helps me fall asleep, so I often miss the second or third body. Thanks to all the reruns, though, I always get another chance to watch an episode all the way through. :))

Yeah, I used to watch Lindenstraße for a long time too.
I also think Mord mit Aussicht is great - I really can't imagine it with new actors; the current ones are what make it so funny.
I can watch Little House on the Prairie over and over without it losing its charm, and Monk too, simply because I find it funny.
But I also love psychological thrillers and crime shows.
With old shows, for example Married... with Children, I now also wonder what I ever liked about them. I can't watch them anymore

I don’t like ongoing series at all—you can hardly miss an episode. But I do sometimes watch series with standalone episodes, for example the various SOKO series; I’m a big crime fan in general.

Back in the day—it’s been a long time—I also enjoyed watching crime shows like *CSI* and things like that. These days, I just stream—that way I can watch whenever I want and for as long as I enjoy it.

I also really like those true crime series.

Reading your posts, I realize that you’re mostly raving about older TV shows. Back then, they really drew you in, and you regularly got invested in the characters’ stories. As a kid, we always watched "Bonanza" (I still have the theme song stuck in my head). Later on, I was a fan of "Lindenstraße", and I also watched the series "Frauenknast".

After that, I enjoyed watching "Der letzte Zeuge": thrilling cases, and there was always that spark between Ulrich Mühe and Gesine Cukrowski (at least on screen). When he passed away unexpectedly, the series ended. But I also like to watch the old episodes every now and then.

I don’t watch today’s TV series at all anymore. What I do like to watch these days, though, is "Zwischen Tüll und Tränen". I like how “ordinary women” are transformed into radiant brides. It’s always the same thing, but I still enjoy watching it.

Best regards, Ina

I’ve just been watching the reruns of "Little House on the Prairie" — there were still a few episodes I didn’t know yet. *Bonanza*, *High Chaparral*, *Shiloh Ranch*, *Gunsmoke*, *Fury* — I always used to watch those. Does anyone else remember "Neighbours" and "General Hospital"?
*NCIS* and *NCIS: New Orleans*, *Blue Bloods*, *Chicago Fire*, *Chicago Med* and *Chicago PD* are my current favorites.  I also enjoyed watching "JAG". Well, you could say: from cowboys to people in uniform ... haha.
I like watching "Soko Hamburg", "Großstadtrevier" and "Notruf Hafenkante" because they are set in Hamburg.
I used to love "Catweazle". Has anyone seen the film yet?
I also like shows like "Klinik am Südring" and the zoo programmes, with "Leopard, Seebär  Co." being my favourite, of course.
Best regards, Marlies

I got the *Catweazle* series on DVD—it’s so great.
I didn’t know there was a movie based on it. I like the old series because they have a certain cozy feel to them—probably because I grew up watching them.
I also really like the Eberhofer crime thrillers; I just love the Bavarian vibe and the humor.
I also like to watch *Between Tulle and Tears* every now and then.
And I find *Terra X* very interesting—I especially enjoy the episodes that have to do with animals.

Many of the series listed sound familiar. I always liked "Little House on the Prairie," "Miami," "Gunsmoke," "The Magnificent Seven," "Winnetou" (with Gojko Mitic, Pierre Brice), so lots of cowboy and Western films, "Treasure of Silver Lake," "Once Upon a Time in the West," "The Mummy," "Mission: Impossible"... "The Streets of San Francisco"...

Of course, like Ina, I also watched "Bonanza" and "Women's Prison." The other day, reruns were on one channel, and I absolutely had to watch them, but I couldn't keep watching because I had to get up early the next day. Too bad.

Because of my husband, I watch a lot of "SOKO" shows; we also watch Pilcher films together, "Katie Fforde" films, anything to do with romance.

I also used to watch series like "GZSZ," "Unter uns," "Frauentausch," "Farmer Wants a Wife" (but not anymore)

"Nordsee- und Ostsee-Report," "Crazy About the Sea," "Crazy About the River," also those series "Trucker Babes," "Die Straßen-Cowboys," or those English series where they tear down houses, those auctions of the contents of those garage units, or the "tax investigators," those English "customs inspections" series, "Patrol"
We also like watching animal documentaries, so it's a colorful mix of everything.
Computer-animated cartoons too. I used to enjoy watching Maya the Bee, the "Augsburger Puppenkiste," etc. I could list even more. I used to watch "Tatort," but when it's that exciting, I can't fall asleep afterward. Also the Hitchcock films "The Birds," "Rear Window," "Marnie," "The Indian Scarf"... but I don't like them as much anymore today.

Tearjerkers or quiz shows. The range is wide.

Yes, the list is long. I also watched Gzsz for a long time, but at some point I didn’t want to watch all that scheming anymore. I often fall asleep during crime shows and miss the ending. I don’t like the new Tatort episodes as much anymore; Sunday evenings used to simply be Tatort time.
And what always has to be watched at Christmas is
Three Wishes for Cinderella, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Jingle All the Way, and Miracle on 34th Street

I still watch “Unter uns,” but I haven’t watched “GZSZ” in quite a few years. “Puppemkiste” was always great. I love “Kalle Wirsch.” Sometimes I catch myself still humming the “meerkat tune” to myself…
I love “Verrückt nach Meer” whenever Captain Morton is on. He’s just so cute.
I’ve been watching the German version of “Farmer Wants a Wife” since the very first episode. When it comes to “Tatort,” I only tune in to Münster, Kiel, Hamburg (with Falke), Berlin, and Dresden—but even then, I’m sometimes disappointed.

Imelda: In the movie, Otto Waalkes plays “Catweazle.” The trailer was really good.

I also enjoy watching “home improvement” shows.

I used to like Tatort years ago—especially the episodes with Götz George.
These days, it doesn’t appeal to me anymore.

I still enjoy watching Tatort, even though I also think the old episodes were better. And I love all kinds of quiz shows, especially “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”. I’ve applied to be on it a few times, but it never worked out.
During the week, my TV evening always starts with “Dahoam is dahoam” on BR. I started watching it 11 years ago when I was in the hospital, and then I
somehow couldn’t stop.
Oh, and one more thing: even though I’m from Bavaria, I love “Neues aus Büttenwarder” on NDR. I look forward to public holidays every year because that’s when they air episodes of it. It’s a shame it’s coming to an end at the end of this year.

When I started reading through this, I thought, “Oh, all of this sounds familiar.” I’ve watched some of these shows, too.
Now, during the week, I treat myself to an hour of Shopping Queen 😉
Then I really enjoy watching quiz shows like Gefragt, Gejagt... Tatort, but only some episodes; I still really enjoy the old Polizeiruf episodes, especially the ones that were kept under wraps (there were no murders in the GDR), and I also really like Die Chefin... and what I also quite enjoy are Käthe und ich... or... Der Ranger...

I watched the trailer for *Catweazle*—I’m definitely going to watch the movie; it’s sure to be really funny. And Henning Baum is in it too (*Der letzte Bulle*), which is also one of my favorite TV shows

"Büttenwarder" just isn’t the same without "Brakelmann." I usually don’t even watch the episodes without him. The ones with Jan Fedder are cult classics!
I also enjoy watching game shows. Who watches "Meister des Alltag"? You often get really good tips for everyday life there. I think
"Die Chefin" is great. A woman who knows what she wants, and “Paul” with his special connections…
“Lena Lorenz” is on again right now, and I always watch that, too.
Are there any “Immenhof” fans here? I’ve seen the old episodes at least 50 times, and there are still some parts that bring a tear to my eye.

Red Roses, Barnaby (but only with John Nettles), Criminal Minds, Navy CIS (also Miami), Murder with a View, Büttenwarder, The Law Firm ... I can knit or crochet while watching all of them

Best regards,
