Knitting for grandchildren or your own little ones is sure to bring joy, especially if it’s meant to be a Christmas gift. How about this pretty pinafore dress that grows with the child? It fits a baby (size 74) and even a 3-year-old. The little dress has knitted-in hearts, which make it a real eye-catcher.

For a baby, this little jacket with the matching hat makes a very lovely Christmas gift. It’s knitted in a knit-and-purl pattern that looks pretty from both sides. Both fit from approx. 3–12 months.

Doll clothes are a very popular Christmas gift. Every doll mom will be delighted, whether big or small. Yes, there are grown-up doll moms too who would be thrilled to receive a gift like this. Here is one of my designs for a baby doll that is 43–50 cm tall. The Schlüttli cardigan with the hat could also fit a newborn.

Since having children, I look forward to Christmas much more again because I find their sparkling eyes and firm belief in the Christ Child so touching. With that in mind, making handmade gifts during the Advent season is extra fun. If you feel the same way, you might find some inspiration here.
