I'm knitting a warm, cozy stole for my sister, because she is very ill and has lost an awful lot of weight, so she gets cold very quickly. At a height of 176 cm, she now weighs just under 54 kilos, and that's too little. I still had some eyelash yarn lying around, so I plied it with a solid gray wool, and now I'm knitting the stole for her with thick needles.
I won't be getting to the sewing machine anytime soon either, because my back has really gone out, and not just a little. I was already at the doc yesterday to get an injection, and I'm going back tomorrow, because for 4 nights now I haven't been sleeping properly because of the pain. Sitting is no good, lying down and standing aren't either; it's enough to make you tear your hair out. So I'm knitting, otherwise I'd go crazy.
Best, Inge
