When winter approaches, it's time to think about crochet accessories that keep you warm. Fingerless crochet gloves are a great alternative to regular gloves, as they give you more flexibility when using your fingers.

Somehow I’m not ready to think about winter yet; I’m still waiting for summer :-) But the cooler temperatures will definitely come, and then it’s good to already have your warming accessories finished and knitted. The designs shown here are all knitted in double-face. This makes them look beautiful on both sides and they can be worn either way.

Knitting pattern for a hat in 8 sizes - for the whole family



Knitting pattern for a scarf - knitted using knit and purl stitches, this pattern is a lot of fun to knit and easy to make. 



Or would you prefer a knitted loop scarf? A cable-like look without a cable needle - here, too, you’ll only be knitting knit and purl stitches. 

There’s no need for complicated calculations with these Japanese women’s gloves.
For Shuto you only need the width of the back of the hand.



Mafura is knitted using the DF technique.
The offset lace pattern is also backed.

Wrist Warmers with a Decorative Cable

These have a shaped thumb gusset so they fit perfectly. There is a decorative cable on the top, and the insides are knitted in stockinette stitch.






Universal Cowl for the Whole Family
You can knit this cowl in a solid color or with gradient yarn (see my two photos). You can knit it for the kids, your husband, or yourself. The pattern is very easy.





Slouchy Hat with Scarf or Cowl
This is the favorite design of young girls and women. The hat has a casual, modern drape and a slightly longer shape. You can knit a matching cowl or scarf to go with it.

Little boys sometimes absolutely don’t want to wear a hat when it’s cold. With this cool firefighter helmet hat, that’s no problem. It can be crocheted for any head circumference.

Babies don’t really like having something tight pulled over their heads, for example a hat with an attached scarf—a pull-on hat. Since my granddaughter didn’t like that either, I came up with this hat. It can be comfortably buttoned and unbuttoned at the front. A relief for mom and baby.

The hat is easy to knit; knitting experience is enough.
