I hope you have a pleasant weekend. What are your plans?

I’m going to keep turning my 2000m Bobbel yarn into a maple leaf shawl so I’ll have a Christmas gift for a friend.  And finally go on a photo walk with my camera again. And finish a pair of gloves for the homeless. When I don’t know what else to crochet, I make these and then drop them off at the local project at the start of winter—they’re always happy to receive them. :)

Well, for me, it’s more of a means to an end. I tend to get really fixated on one thing at a time—right now, it’s crocheting. But at some point, you’ve just given everything you’ve made to all your friends and acquaintances, so I looked for a way to sort of “get rid of” the finished pieces. And the folks at the project said they always need gloves and socks. Although when it comes to outerwear, dark, inconspicuous colors are important to them so they aren’t easily spotted, but for socks, they’re happy to have them be bright and colorful.

I usually use this pattern. It was very well received, since the guys also like to have their fingers free sometimes.

I’ll be continuing to crochet nests for wildlife, working on the jacket for my granddaughter, and writing patterns. I’m happy to take advantage of the rainy weather to do all that.

We’re having guests over for coffee at noon today. I’m really looking forward to it and hoping for nice weather.

Yesterday during our evening walk, we passed by an artichoke field. Every year, I’m newly enchanted by this beautiful plant.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, too. The housework is done, and I’ve mowed the lawn again. I’ve done a big grocery run and walked the dog—it’s too boring in the garden ;-) ..... and now I finally have time to continue working on my next crochet pattern, out in the garden in my shady spot.

This morning we visited the newly opened butterfly house at the Palmengarten.

Saturday is almost over, so I’d like to wish you all a wonderful Sunday.

We—that is, my husband and I—are going to rest and relax. No packing boxes. Just taking it easy for a change.

We had fruit tart again. The rest will be served tomorrow for Sunday coffee.

I used up some leftover yarn from my crochet bag. Pictures are coming soon.

The other yarn is actually already packed, but since the box is sitting on top of it, I snagged a few more skeins. I just can’t do completely without crocheting a little here and there.

But next week, I’ll get back to packing.

Until then, take it easy and let those needles or hooks clatter away.
