This colorful raglan dress for toddlers has a pretty narrow cable at the raglan, giving the dress an especially lovely touch. It fits from age 2 for quite a while, since it can later also be worn as a tunic.

These knitted pants for toddlers from age 1 have a pretty cable worked into the side. The adjustable straps keep the pants from slipping and help keep the body nice and warm. The pants grow with your child for a while thanks to the folded-over leg cuffs and the straps.

This merino vest for men (size 48/50) with the rustic cable pattern suits many occasions and keeps you nice and warm. An absolute must-have that belongs in every one of our men’s closets.

Knitting pattern for a blanket - cable look without a cable needle - knitted only with knit and purl stitches.

Knitting pattern for a scarf - here, too, the cables are created by knitting knit and purl stitches. My patterns include a knitting chart, and the pattern is also described in writing row by row.

Knitting pattern for a loop scarf - here, too, you can do without a cable needle, and the cable look shows after just a few rows.

You can crochet cable patterns, too.  For that, you need post double crochet.

The sweater was crocheted for a doll size of 32 cm.  It includes a headband and leg warmers.

Cable patterns are very versatile.

Ensui features both cable patterns and lace.
The scarf is knitted with 36 g of 2-ply yarn made of 50% cotton and 50% acrylic.
It measures 63 x 17 cm.
The PDF file contains 5 pages—written instructions and a knitting chart.

Erimaki
is a sampler that you can use for table runners, tablecloths, scarves, etc.
The file consists of 2 PDFs.

Butchigai is also very versatile.
The PDF contains one page.

My cable-knit poncho is edged with cable patterns on two sides.
You’ll need about 300g of yarn with a yardage of 450m per 100g. However, it can easily be made larger or smaller.
The pattern is written out in full and is suitable for beginners.

I really love cable patterns, too. That’s why I have a few of my favorite designs up my sleeve for you. In each piece, the cable is the special eye-catcher. Maybe you’ll like my ideas? For more pictures, information, and the pattern, just click on the headings.

I hope you enjoy looking at them and making them yourself.
Warm regards from Ina

Wrist warmers

The tops of these feature a beautiful cable pattern. The insides of the wrist warmers are knitted in stockinette stitch. The thumb gusset ensures they fit well. Young girls and women love this style because it gives them enough finger freedom to use their cell phones :-)

Warm Poncho

This poncho is knitted as a raglan from the top down. We achieve the necessary increases by adding stitches before and after the 4 cables. With this method of increasing, it’s impossible to get confused. Plus, the cables look beautiful and create a lengthening effect. The poncho’s length is adjustable.

Andrea Winter Hat + Scarf or Loop

The thick cable around the hat is the real eye-catcher here. I love this design, especially when it’s knitted with gradient yarn. The hat is essentially knitted in double layers, so it keeps you nice and warm. For the accessories, you can choose between a scarf or an infinity scarf, whichever you prefer.

In my shop, you’ll also find cable patterns for which you need a cable needle.

For example, these knitted baby booties — whether for boys or girls — will keep every baby’s feet warm with the right yarn. Thanks to the high cuff, they won’t get kicked off so easily.

A cable needle is also needed in one round for this knitted hexagon

This is one from a series of 4 granny motifs, which can be beautifully combined to make a blanket. The hexagons are knitted from the outside in using a set of double-pointed needles.

The asymmetrical shawl Briscaliona is knitted sideways with two faux cable patterns that do not require a cable needle. Simple lace-pattern stripes are knitted along the right edge, and a simple textured pattern is knitted on the left side.

In the asymmetrical dragon-tail shawl Drasukatu, stripes with a cable look (lace-pattern stripes) always alternate with a pretty little floral lace pattern.
