Dear users, dear authors,
Here you’ll find relaxing weekend projects you can get started on right away.

@Authors,
2–3 patterns per author are enough. Don’t forget to include links, images, information, etc.

How about this cute raglan dress, which fits children ages 2 and up? It corresponds to approximately size 92. At first, it’s a longer dress, and later it becomes a tunic. I’d say it fits up to age 4. My granddaughter just received it for her 2nd birthday, so that’s the best estimate I can give.

For toddlers, knitted pants with straps are ideal clothing because nothing can slip down. The pants are comfortable and, with the side cables, are a real eye-catcher. The pants are knitted from fluffy, slightly thicker sock yarn.

If you have some colorful leftover yarn and know a toddler, why not knit this cute sleeping bag for their little dolls and stuffed animals? If they are up to 20 cm tall, they’ll fit inside perfectly. The pattern includes 2 versions, both of which are very easy to knit.

For this weekend, I have a few suggestions on how you can wrap candy, gift cards, a cash gift, or other small tokens of appreciation in a pretty and original way. For this, you’ll need a crochet hook, leftover yarn, and a few other small items—but you can find them in almost any household.

Here, the lid of an empty jam jar is crocheted over. The little monkey with the palm tree will guard your homemade cookies, chocolates, or whatever else you want to give as a gift in the jar.

Here’s what you’ll need:
  • Colorful scraps of cotton yarn (Catania by Schachenmayr) in the colors sand, brown, skin-tone, and green
  • 2.5 mm crochet hook
  • Craft batting
  • Chenille wire
  • 1 candy or jam jar, about 7.5 cm in diameter
  • 1 thick sewing needle for sewing in ends and sewing the pieces together

The Royal Guard soldier is already an eye-catcher in and of itself. But who would guess that you can open him up and hide a small gift inside? The soldier is crocheted around an empty cardboard tube (from toilet paper), so that only the head and arms need to be stuffed with craft batting.

You will need:
  • approx. 20 g cotton yarn (LL = 125 m/50 g, e.g., Catania by Schachenmayr) red
  • approx. 20 g cotton yarn (LL = 125 m/50 g, e.g., Catania by Schachenmayr) black
  • scraps of cotton yarn of the same quality in skin tone and white
  • approx. 20 g faux fur yarn (LL = 75 m / 50 g, e.g., Fake Fur by Mayflower)
  • 2.5 mm crochet hook
  • Craft batting
  • 1 cardboard tube (from toilet paper)
  • 1 straw, 10 mm in diameter
  • 1 bendable straw, 5 mm in diameter
  • Gold-colored sequin trim for buttons and the hat band (you can also use individual small beads or sequins)
  • craft glue, if needed

Here, a forklift is delivering a small package. It could contain, for example, a gift card to a home improvement store (very popular with many men!).

To crochet the forklift, you’ll need:
  • Cotton scraps (less than 20 g) Mayflower Junior Cotton 8, LL = 170 m / 50 g ) in yellow (curry)
  • Cotton scraps (less than 20 g) Catania LL = 125 m / 50 g in black
  • Cotton scraps (less than 10 g) Catania LL = 125 m / 50 g in gray
  • Crochet hook size 2.5
  • 1 foam block (cleaning sponge) , dimensions approx. 9 cm x 5 cm x 2.5 cm
  • Polyester stuffing (for the wheels)
  • 6 flexible plastic straws
  • 6 mini craft sticks (5mm x 55 mm) (Rayher item no. 6135331)
  • 1 piece of thick cardboard
  • 1 thick sewing needle for sewing in ends and sewing the pieces together

The shoulder wrap Shades of Understatement is knitted with just 200 g of yarn with a yardage of 250 m per 100 g. The pattern is simple and explained in detail.

Why not start thinking about the cooler season now.....

Knitting pattern for a scarf - knitted with knit and purl stitches, you can really lose yourself in the pattern and work your way toward the finish, pattern repeat by pattern repeat.

Crochet pattern for a blanket - This model is started in the center, and you can decide on the size individually. For this blanket, I dug out all the leftovers of one yarn from my stash and crocheted about 300 grams.

If you have a weekend ahead with little knitting time, you can still find relaxation with this model. You only need to know knit and purl stitches, and this hat can be knitted in 8 sizes.
