These two shawls from my Blickfang-Design store are truly summery. They are made using the hairpin lace crochet technique. Made from lightweight cotton or a blend of cotton, linen, and silk, they are wonderfully light to wear.

Elegant Triangular Shawl with Beaded Edge (knitting pattern)

This shawl is particularly flattering because its pointed beaded border visually elongates the figure. The shawl is knitted from fine cashmere wool with silk. It is wonderfully light and very pleasant on the skin. The beaded border can be knitted as wide as you like - it is a continuous pattern consisting of only 2 alternating pattern rows.

If you’d rather wear the triangular shawl mentioned above as a scarf, we’ve got you covered. The same wonderful cashmere and silk yarn can also be knitted into a scarf or stole. The beaded border runs along the edges and can be knitted as long as you like—or as long as the yarn lasts. You can wear the scarf open or tied in a modern knot. Once you’ve wrapped it around your neck or shoulders, you won’t want to take it off.

And now here is another model with a color gradient. The color gradient comes directly from the ball of yarn. The pattern consists of two pattern rows that repeat over and over. At the end, it is blocked so that the delicate wave pattern unfolds in all its glory. You can wear the scarf/stole open and flowing, or wear it in everyday life tied in a modern knot.
