Dear users and authors,
is there a craft technique you’d really like to learn, or one where you’d like to improve your skills? Let me know which techniques those are.
I’m already pretty good at knitting and crocheting. I can embroider, too (if I have to ;-)), but what I’m really not very good at is sewing. I can’t do it by hand at all (I can’t even sew on buttons properly!) and I’m only so-so with a sewing machine. I’d really like to get better at that.
I’d love to do more sewing. But I’m a little short on time. Still, I already have the fabrics ready at home. And with my mother-in-law’s help, I’ll soon be making neck warmers for my little one and my niece, as well as some much-needed trouser patches.
I’d really like to deepen my Tunisian crochet skills, and knitting too!
I’d also love to try some special crochet techniques, such as broomstick, tapestry, Bavarian crochet, Irish crochet....
I always find it exciting to try out new crochet techniques. But I’d also like to get better at knitting—I can only manage knit and purl stitches, and there are so many great knitting patterns out there. I’ve also given up on knitting socks after several attempts. I just can’t get the hang of it with all those needles, sigh....
Just out of curiosity, does anyone here still know how to darn?
I really want to learn bobbin lace-making!
I can knit, embroider, crochet, and sew...but not bobbin lace.
I’ll give it a try once all the kids are old enough that I can leave my bobbin lace work lying around without worrying that little fingers will fiddle with it. ;)
