I’m waiting for a gorgeous mousse-au-chocolat-colored linen fabric that my husband ordered for me for a pair of summer trousers. I want to sew a slightly wider pair of trousers—they’re back in style this year—but I have to be careful not to make them too wide, otherwise I’ll look like a little wine barrel, and I really don’t want that :-) I’ve already gone through all my pattern pieces in my head, and I have a basic pattern block that I’ll use for this.
Otherwise, I’m doing well—I tolerated the vaccine well; apart from being tired for two days, there were no side effects. My second appointment is already scheduled for the end of May
Good morning!
Things are going pretty well so far. Right now, I’m designing a “best-of” shawl together with my testers, and it’s a ton of fun. With my day job, I don’t have much time left for crocheting. It would be nice to have a time capsule where I could lock myself away for a while ;)
Wishing you all a wonderful week—and stay healthy!
Love, Kerstin
Yesterday and today, I’ve been feeling good. The sun is shining, it’s wonderfully warm, and you can finally sit outside on the patio with your knitting. Then I went for a short bike ride and got some exercise, and that made me feel better right away. Now all that’s missing is my family.
They’re forecasting lousy weather again for the next few days, so you have to make the most of every ray of sunshine, and that’s exactly what I did. Great!
I’m pretty anxious right now. There’s COVID-19 in the apartment next door, and people are bustling about in the hallway, basement, laundry room, and garden. So, of course, I’m staying inside as much as possible, even though we’re back to having bright sunshine. But I’m being very careful.
I have another COVID-19 test scheduled for tomorrow. I bought a new diamond painting design and now have plenty to keep me busy.
If people have COVID-19, they’re not allowed to leave their homes and must observe strict quarantine. I’d look into how that’s going and possibly call the police, because the risk of them infecting everyone in the building is very high. I know there are, unfortunately, far too many people who ignore the rules—otherwise the numbers wouldn’t be rising so sharply
Well, Inge, officially, our neighbors aren’t even required to inform us. Data protection… And do you have any idea how difficult things would get around here if I called the police? There’d be even more trouble than there already is.
So I’m just staying in quarantine. I can also get to the mailbox via the patio. If I have to go through the hallway, I only do so with a face mask, gloves, and hand sanitizer.
Uh, that really doesn’t seem legal—they’re not allowed to do that at all and have to stay in the apartment. I’m very confused right now. That would really bother me.
I’m doing fine, actually. On Monday, I thought I’d do something good for my health and walk the 4.5 km home from work today since the weather was so nice. Halfway there, though, I had to give up and take the train the rest of the way because my feet were burning. When I got home, I saw that I’d developed huge blisters on both the balls of my feet. So I can’t really put any weight on them. I sent my neighbor to the pharmacy to get me some good bandages. It’s manageable with those, but I still can’t walk very far.
Anyway, this gives me more time to work on my new triangle shawl. At least I’m making progress 😉
Oh dear, those were definitely the wrong shoes for this walk. I hope you feel better soon, and then give it another try with a different pair of shoes.
