Whether it’s a scarf or an infinity scarf, you can choose the size yourself. The pattern is easy to extend and looks especially pretty with gradient yarn.

A shawl that can also be worn as a poncho. The pretty lace pattern with the pink waves is a real eye-catcher. The shawl is knitted from lightweight cotton and is ideal for cool summer evenings or spring walks.

Stole/ circular shawl "Hauchzart"
A simple, airy pattern, great as a summer shawl or suitable as a wedding stole.

As always, you can crochet from a written pattern and/or work from a crochet chart. The stole can be enlarged or reduced in length and depth as desired. Exactly how that works is explained in the pattern. Even beginners can do it.

Click here and you’ll go directly to the pattern:

Material consumption depends on the yarn weight, hook size, and shawl size:
  • Here in the pattern example: 1000 m/ 4-ply yarn
  • Crochet hook suitable for the yarn (here size 3.5)

A lightweight shawl made from a wonderful yarn—99% cotton—perfect for summer

A constant companion—whether at the office or on a walk—protection from the sun or against a cool breeze

The pattern is worked over 2 rows and crocheting starts at the tip. This means the triangular shawl can be crocheted to your desired size.

Small knitted triangular shawl—a lovely companion for the evening hours

The pattern includes a written explanation of the pattern stitch, and you’ll also find a knitting chart.

Here I also have a beautiful knitted shawl  for you

For a small shawl I used Schachenmayr Tahiti 100 g (280 m / 50 g); for the large shawl shown at the top of the picture, I used Lana Grossa "Shades of Cotton Linen" 840 m / 200 g.

The pattern stitch is explained in writing, and there is also a knitting chart. The shawl is started from the bottom and knitted until the desired size is reached or the yarn runs out.

I wouldn’t want to be in your shoes. Anyone who wants to knit or crochet a new shawl has a wide selection, which makes it hard to decide. Maybe you’re just waiting for my recommendations? Here come my 3 favorite shawls. I’ve knitted them many times and given them to dear friends as birthday gifts.

I hope you have lots of fun making and wearing them - Yours, Ina

Lace Shawl for Beginners

The first thing that catches your eye here is the beautiful wave-like pattern. It is created by the color gradient that comes directly from the ball of yarn, and by the simple pattern. For the pattern, we keep repeating just 2 pattern rows. You can wear the shawl flowing open or knotted for a modern look.

Lace Shawl with Beaded Border

The shawl is knitted from high-quality cashmere yarn with a touch of silk. That makes it wonderfully airy and light, and super soft on the skin. We first knit one section in stockinette stitch, then we knit on the beaded edge. The small rocailles beads shimmer with every movement and give the shawl its special chic. You can wear it open or wrapped around.

Triangular Shawl with Beaded Border

This is practically the same shawl as the previous one, except that here we have a slimming triangular shape. You can knit the beaded border as long as you like. It is the shawl’s special embellishment.

1) Shawl "Elaine" - for this shawl, you should have a little experience and practice with crochet. This triangular shawl stands out because of its two completely different patterned sides. No matter how you turn it, it always looks good.

2) The "Triangular Shawl in a Square 2.0" is very quick and easy to crochet - airy, light, and stylish!
It is crocheted from the side and is symmetrical. It is narrower than the well-known triangular shawls, making it versatile: e.g. as a scarf, shawl, hip scarf, quickly wrapped top, cowl, etc.

3) The shawl "Red Coral" is wonderfully suitable for beginners - quick, easy, and lots of fun to crochet...

“Seidenblümchen” is a wonderful, airy summer shawl that can be knitted with either 100g or 250g of silk (600m per 100g). Both sizes are listed in the pattern with the number of stitches.
