Hardworking little helpers: How are things going with you?

dear little helpers,
what are you working on today?

Oh yeah… I’ve got so many projects on the go again… It sometimes feels like it’s getting to be too much… No, that’s not quite right—I’ve still got it under control… The emphasis is on “still”… My goal is to make lots of summer dresses in plus sizes… So not just dresses, but also tops that you can just slip on over a bra… Where the breeze blows through nicely… Where a gentle summer breeze caresses your skin… That’s how I picture it… You definitely shouldn’t sweat underneath, but it should still cover your body… It’s also important to me that the upper arms are covered… Because I think fashion always looks better when you can’t see your upper arms if you’re a little overweight… Yes, that’s exactly the kind of designs I’m working on

I’ve started a sweater using the same pattern as the pants. The back is almost done, but I’m not sure yet how I want to finish the neck and shoulders. So I’m going to keep working on the sleeve for now—let’s see if my imagination holds up and it turns out the way I’m picturing it right now. 

I’m currently working on nests for wild animals and designing a squirrel’s nest that’s easy to crochet and knit. The bottom is crocheted and the rest is knitted. It already looks great and will be finished soon. Then it’s off to the washing machine to be felted.

Things are moving very slowly for me right now, because unfortunately I still can’t sit for long, cozy sessions to knit or sew, but it’s getting better. In the evenings, I’m still knitting my cube scarf; I’ll be working on it for quite a while yet, because I’m not rushing it at all

I’m knitting Petra’s trousers. The first leg is already quite far along. Besides that, a few things are waiting for the finishing touches. I always have to force myself to get to them, especially when they’ve been sitting there for a few days! There’s also laundry waiting to be ironed…
