Easter Bunny

I picked up the new craft magazine yesterday while I was out shopping—it has these bunnies in it, so I went ahead and made them today. I already had the face ready on the board

Inge, the pink bunny—so lovely. The face is great. If I understand correctly, you combined two different patterns here? The pattern from the new magazine, and you already had the face on your sewing machine? Did you have to adjust the size, or did it just happen to fit?

I’m really impressed by your embroidery work and always enjoy seeing it.

Thanks, Petra. I have the face in different sizes ready to use, so I can embroider it in the right hoop depending on the size. This one is for the 10 cm x 10 cm hoop. I measure the pattern piece first and then pick out the right size, or if I don’t already have it ready, I sometimes digitize a face myself.
What do you mean, recovered? That fall really hit me hard and took a lot out of me. It’s not the first time I’ve fallen, but it’s been a long time since one got me this badly. The doc had already told me I’d be dealing with it for quite a while, and he was right: bruises take time to heal.

Thanks, Monika, and I almost don’t dare say this, but I fell off my little stool today and landed hard on my tailbone. I was trying to hang up the cat—I’d already taken off my slippers so nothing would happen—and then the stool slipped on the kitchen floor. That sent another loud thud echoing through the whole house. It’s my own fault this time, because climbing onto a stool is actually a big NO-NO for me, but NAAA—Inge has a mind of her own. Since then, I’ve been sitting on my air cushion—that works. It taught me a lesson, I can tell you.

Get well soon, Inge! What bad luck—and both at once! But as the saying goes: Misfortune rarely comes alone… At least you can still create such wonderful sewing and embroidery projects; that probably helps you forget your discomfort and pain for a little while.
