My tip:....try freestyle crocheting.....it's really fun....+ you can't go wrong....

What is freestyle crocheting?

With freestyle—or as some call it, free-form crocheting—you’re basically “painting” with your crochet hook… You only have a template or an idea as a guide… A photo works too, of course… And then you crochet the image, or—as I like to do—the face… I don’t need a template, though; I just start… And let the yarn decide what the object will look like… I did this on Facebook with my craft group…And everyone was really excited… That’s how this pattern of mine came about… Usually, hardly anyone dares to try this technique… Many are really intimidated by it… But with my pattern, it’s easy to pull off… It sparked a little boom in my group—some stuck with it, and amazing pieces were created… Or rather, crocheted paintings… There’s also an artist named Jo Hamilton, and she’s truly become the best at it—she exhibits in galleries all over the world… Just Google her name—you’ll be surprised.

Yes, that’s exactly how it went for me too… Back then, of course, I immediately sat down and started with this technique too, because I’ve always been very interested in learning something new… Then I had the idea of doing a group project with my group using it… And alongside that, I wrote the pattern for it… This pattern is, of course, rather large ...there are over 50 photos .....but almost everyone who has made this pattern so far was able to achieve a positive result afterward... it is, of course, a bit difficult ...to describe something that turns out differently for everyone… That’s why I also call it a motivational pattern… Because here you really do have to work by feel:

Yes, it really does take a lot of creativity and imagination. But you’re creating a piece of work that no one else can really judge. It’s all YOURS!

Wow, I Googled it too. It’s amazing what this woman does—and especially how she makes it. And the result still looks authentic, not cheesy. Really good.
That’s actually high-level crochet art.

It would also be a great project for using up leftover yarn.
