Dear users, dear authors,
How do you celebrate Easter? What Easter decorations do you like?

How do we celebrate? Let’s see what’s allowed and what isn’t. I can only tell you how we usually celebrate: with the whole family. As for Easter decorations, I like bunnies, lambs, and Easter eggs. I do a little decorating.

On Maundy Thursday 2020, we had an Easter bonfire and a barbecue in the garden.

It was so lovely. We sat in the garden for a long time. We also usually have an Easter breakfast with an egg hunt in the garden. For that, I’ve also melted down leftover wax and poured it into molds.

And we have an Easter egg tree.

We usually go for a walk with my in-laws on Easter Monday.
Last year we had to change our plans because of Leo, and this year we’ll have to see what’s even allowed :)

We’ll see.

Decorating... I’m pretty lazy about that at Easter.
There’s an Easter bunny in the hallway... other than that, just the usual spring decorations. Nothing special :)

Just a little bit of Easter decor and then a little bit of spring decor—that’s all I need.

Best regards, Inge

We also hang colorful eggs on the bushes outside. And inside the apartment, there are a few twigs with decorations on them. There are also a few spring decorations scattered around. And of course, there have to be spring flowers on the table. It’s not much, but you can still feel a touch of spring.

We don’t have many decorations here, since our little bandits (cats) steal anything they can play with.
We won’t be having any visitors because of COVID-19.

Happy Easter!

Easter is a time for lots of decorations, almost like Christmas. There’s an Easter branch: catkin branches with crocheted bunnies, chickens, and little birds—and, of course, painted blown eggs. I still have some that my kids painted when they were little. And now my grandchildren are adding their own. In the kitchen, I have a chick-shaped dish sponge and egg-shaped pot holders. And then there are crocheted Easter decorations scattered everywhere, and of course my seasonal table with the spring flower arrangements is a must. (You can check out my shop—there you can admire all my hand-crocheted Easter items 🤫😉)

We’ll have to skip the Easter branch in the house this year: our kitten would have way too much fun with the great little toys hanging from it! But bigger bunnies and chickens will still make an appearance. And any new decorations I make will be given away as gifts!

At Easter, we only use a few small decorative touches. Since we’re both alone anyway, and no visitors can come over, that’s enough for us to create at least a little Easter spirit, even if the weather is gloomy and rainy.

My bouquet of tulips is still standing; next to it sits my crocheted Easter bunny along with a chick. I’ve placed my beaded Easter eggs in a little basket, and the bowl of my hand-dyed colorful eggs serves as both decoration and a snack. That’s all I need.
We’ll listen to “Mega-Ei” on the radio while we’re at it—it fits the mood.
Well, of course it would be nicer if the family were here, but we’ll just WhatsApp each other.

We used to have those little wooden eggs on the Easter tree—no idea where they’ve gone. I miss them.
No chocolate bunnies this time. The store where we used to buy them cheaply is closed because of COVID-19. Bummer.

Well then, happy and healthy Easter to all of you :-)
