Dear users, dear authors,
Download patterns for beginners now, some of which can also be made using leftover yarn/materials, and get started right away. Have fun with them.

@Authors,
2-3 patterns per author are enough. Don’t forget links, images, info, etc.

This versatile scarf + collar is a very practical project and can also be easily made by beginners with knitting experience. Leftovers or leftover balls of yarn are completely sufficient here, depending on how colorful you want it to be.

This cute sweater for teddy bears measuring 45-60 cm is easy to knit, even using leftover yarn. It is knitted top-down with raglan shaping. The pattern describes every step, so beginners can manage it well too. Knitting experience or good basic skills should be present.

This mini sleeping bag for small dolls and stuffed animals up to 20 cm is also easy to make using leftover yarn. The pattern shows 2 different models.

In my shop, you’ll find patterns that are great for beginners.
I’ll show you a small selection here.

Little Lamb Emely can also be crocheted twice in different colors
and the heart to go with it
For the little lamb, you’ll need about 50 g in white or wool white
and scraps in colors of your choice

Here you’ll also find the two little dolls Lilly and Pauli
They are a bit bigger, but can also be crocheted partly from scraps

Knitting Pattern for a Collar — an alternative to an infinity scarf or scarf.

If you already have some experience with circular needles, this pattern—which uses knit and purl stitches—will be easy for you to follow. You’ll also need to know how to knit stitches together.

Knitting pattern for a hat in 8 sizes

Knitted with a set of double-pointed needles, this pattern requires only knit and purl stitches. You’ll be guided round by round to the finished hat.

Crochet Pattern for a Blanket

You start in the center, so you can easily determine the size yourself. You should know how to work single crochet, chain stitches, and double crochet.

Jane Shawl

The beautiful triangular shawl Jane is crocheted using only single crochet stitches, making it an ideal beginner project. It is also very well suited for using up leftover yarn. Do you like the design? Then you’ll find the pattern in my Blickfang-Design store.

You can quickly knit the spiral socks Kajou for babies from a leftover bit (here 20 g) of bamboo yarn.
The practical thing is that the socks can be worn longer because there is no heel.

The PDF file contains two pages (written instructions and chart).

As a crochet beginner, you want to see results quickly and crochet something useful or decorative.
Egg cozies are wonderfully suited for that, because they are quick to finish, not difficult to crochet, and very decorative. You can also work very well with leftover yarn here.

Here are a few examples:

 Lucky Pig Egg Cozy

Spring Blossoms Egg Cozy

I also have 3 more recommendations for what beginners can crochet well with just a little yarn. They are all small, easy-to-follow doll clothing projects where you quickly get a pretty result, and they bring lots of joy when making and giving them as gifts.

I hope you enjoy looking at them and making them yourself.
Warm regards from Ina

Fresh Summer Fashion

The pattern includes 6 different doll items that can also be wonderfully combined with each other. The doll moms will be delighted with new additions to the wardrobe.

Favorite Summer Dress

The little dress only needs a few grams of yarn and a suitable crochet hook. The dresses close at the back with 3 snap fasteners. The dress is so easy to crochet that it is my personal "favorite summer dress." You can quickly finish one or two or three ...

Skirt with Flounce and Matching Top
Here you can crochet the skirt as short or as long as you like. It looks good in all versions and therefore adapts to your yarn stash.

My suggestions:

The Chickens on the Perch

Even beginners with a little practice can easily crochet these funny little chickens on the perch and use them as decoration for a door or wall.

The chickens also look great individually, for example as gift decorations or shelf sitters.

The name sign with the funny owls is easier to crochet than it may look at first glance, and ambitious beginners with a little practice can manage it too.

The name sign of course includes the complete crochet alphabet, can be crocheted in your desired colors, and is a lovely, personalized decoration for a child’s room door or a wall in the child’s room:

You can get the crochet pattern for the name sign here

The large heart made from scrubby yarn is a beautiful eye-catcher and can be used as a sponge for bathing and showering or washing dishes.

It is crocheted in simple continuous rounds of single crochet stitches, making it a lovely, easy project for beginners.

Maybe as a gift for Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day?

This snowflake mobile is also perfect for beginners!

If you don’t like mobiles, you can also attach the chains to a thin wooden stick or a sturdy strip of cardboard and use the whole thing as a window decoration.

The chains on this mobile are approximately 42 and 47 cm long, respectively.
The snowflakes were cut out of photo cardstock, and the pom-poms were store-bought.

Wrist warmers are always a good choice, and these are knitted in a rectangle and then sewn together at the sides.
Using 2 x 20 g of yarn, the wrist warmers are knitted in a simple slip stitch pattern.

Would you like to surprise someone with a Valentine's card? How about this one? It looks very sophisticated, but it's actually not hard to make.

This card is made from photo cardstock, measures approx. 21 x 10.5 cm, and is also well suited for beginners with little crafting experience.
