The otter was chosen as the 2021 Wild Animal of the Year by the German Wildlife Foundation. That’s why I designed Otti the otter, so you can crochet your own wild animal of the year for 2021.
Otti has just caught a big fish and is looking forward to his feast. He’s looking at you a little suspiciously with his big eyes because he doesn’t want to share with you. But once he’s full, he’s happy to cuddle.
To make Otti, you’ll need:
  • approx. 50 g brown cotton yarn (Catania by Schachenmayr or similar, LL 125 m / 50 g)
  • leftover white fluffy yarn (Rico Baby Teddy Aran, 135 m / 50 g)
  • scraps of black yarn for embroidering the nose and claws
  • scraps of sock yarn for the fish (Moonlight Bumbo, 462 m per 100 g)
  • 2.5 mm crochet hook
  • 2.0 mm crochet hook
  • stuffing
  • 2 black half-pearls, 9 mm in diameter
  • 2 googly eyes, 7 mm in diameter
  • sturdy black thread for the whiskers and the fishing line
  • 1 skewer
  • glue

I’ve already brought a little color into the living room decor in the form of floral candle rings, ideal for taper candles, preferably LED ones, so nothing gets scorched, and it also uses up a few small bits of leftover yarn

here is the pattern

I’m incredibly happy to be able to share the pattern for this airy, lightweight shawl with you here. I wish all handicraft enthusiasts who stop by the forum a wonderful 2021.

A new stole has arrived in my store, Blickfang-Design. The beautiful Birutė stole is made with a mix of lace patterns. The old technique of hairpin lace crochet is used here and given a new interpretation. If you feel like trying something new, the Birutė stole is just the thing for you.

To make sure the little fashion dolls don’t get cold in these freezing temperatures: a crocheted quilted jacket with matching overalls that can be crocheted for both female and male dolls. That way, the little dolls can hit the slopes in matching outfits!
Small amounts of leftover yarn are perfect for this project.
You can find the crochet pattern here!

Carnival celebrations are largely canceled this year and will take place, at most, on TV. But a true “Carnival fan” won’t let that dampen their spirits. A little Carnival decor is a must:

You can use this little crocheted jester’s cap in all sorts of ways: as a decoration on a small door wreath, as a refrigerator magnet, as a table decoration, or as a bottle stopper. And small dolls with a head circumference of 14–15 cm can wear it as a carnival hat.

I’d like to introduce you to a pretty little bunny couple that you just have to love.
The dreamy little bunnies are a charming eye-catcher and a lovely decoration for Easter, the sofa, the windowsill, or as beautiful decor in the entryway.

Now the baby doll (approx. 45–50 cm) finally gets a diaper. It can be crocheted quickly and easily from scrap yarn and has Velcro closures. Great for toddlers so they can play at changing diapers.
