The following models aren’t just about one material; they need a few more ingredients to create something new. That’s exciting and fun. Here are my suggestions for you:
Princess bed with all the trimmings
Here we (or the grandpas) make a wooden doll bed. First it’s cut to size, then painted. We (or the grandmas) then sew matching bedding. The beds are filled with synthetic batting, so they can go completely into the washing machine. And then we crochet cushions and a rug. Every doll is sure to feel comfortable in her new doll bed.
Felted shoes with homemade leather soles
Here we combine two different types of wool—first, we need felting wool for the felted shoe. For this model, we can use all our small bits of leftover yarn. For the small cuff, we need a synthetic yarn because it felts along with it. To felt them, the shoes go into the washing machine. Once they are dry, we sew a leather sole underneath. In the description, I show and explain everything to you in detail.
Crocheted wall clock
Here, too, we need different materials: we crochet a doily, which we stretch and stiffen. We paint a round stretcher frame and install a clock mechanism with hands. We attach the stiffened crocheted doily to the stretcher frame—and that gives us an original wall clock.
I wish you lots of joy with all your creative projects. You can get to the pattern and more information by clicking on the headings.
