I really enjoy felting and do a lot of it. Especially in the fall, everyone always wants warm felted slippers. Felting wool is inexpensive, and the results are simply amazing in terms of their qualities. Felted wool is soft, warming, breathable, and adapts to any shape.
Here I’m showing you
all my felting patterns. Maybe you’ll feel like trying it yourselves. I hope you enjoy looking through them and making them.
Warm regards from Ina
One-Step Felt Booties
This shoe model is my favorite winter model. They are high enough to keep the ankles nice and warm. Warm ankles mean warm feet—an old bit of wisdom. The special thing is that they are knitted in one piece. The washing machine takes care of the felting.
Felt Boots with a Rolled Collar
This is also a winter felted-shoe model. First the felted shoe is knitted, then it goes into the washing machine for felting. The rolled collar is knitted separately and sewn onto the felted shoe. If you knit the rolled collar with gradient yarn, you automatically get beautiful effects. That makes every felted shoe one of a kind.
Felted Shoes with a Crocheted Cuff
Right after knitting the felted shoe, we crochet the colorful cuff of the shoe onto it. The whole thing is then felted in the washing machine. Overall, the cuff of the felted shoe does not fit quite as snugly, so the kids’ jeans, for example, can be tucked into the shoes.
Felt Moccasins
The flatter felted-shoe model “Moccasins” is perfect for spring, summer, and fall. You can also easily take them anywhere because they take up very little space in your bag. When you’re away from home, you immediately get the feeling that you’re wearing your own cozy slippers. They are knitted. With a crochet hook and a few crochet stitches, we then turn the felties into moccasins.
Felted Shoes from Leftovers with Leather Soles
For this model, I put my various leftover felting wool to good use. The shoe also got a cuff at the top, which is knitted on right away. As an extra, this pattern also includes instructions on how to make leather soles yourself and sew them on.
Felt Insoles
You can also turn your leftovers into insoles if there isn’t enough left for shoes. They are thick and warm and soft. So they’re ideal for rubber boots, winter boots, and clogs. They act like a barrier between your body temperature and a cold floor. A template for cutting out the right size is included.
Felt Cat Basket
You can’t persuade cats to like something. They are stubborn and decide for themselves what they like and what they don’t. And they really do like the felt cat basket, because it smells like sheep and nature—and it is soft and warming. You can make the cat basket in 2 sizes for your house tiger.
Free Cat Toy Ball Pattern
You don’t have to throw away leftover felting wool. All of it together can still become a cat toy. If you have a cat, simply download the free pattern and turn your leftover felting wool into a play ball.
Free Seat Cushion Pattern
My husband is an angler and always needs something warm under his bottom when he sits by the lake in the evening or at night. So he got seat cushions made from felting wool. You can crochet them round or square. The washing machine takes care of the felting. Both free patterns are available in
meinem Shop.
