Still can’t decide on a St. Martin’s lantern ? How about this one?
It’s very easy to make, because all the cutouts that need to be cut out have short, straight edges—so even a craft beginner won’t have any trouble with them.

The lantern is made of cardstock and translucent paper, measures approx. 28 x 26.5 x 9 cm, and its colors can easily be changed, so using the same template you can make differently styled lanterns for all siblings.

The spacious shopping net (40 x 50 cm) is quick to crochet thanks to the filet technique (only chain stitches and double crochet). The front is decorated with a heart pattern and the word "Mama". A counting chart is included for this. Each round is also described stitch by stitch, so you can work without the counting chart as well.
It is crocheted with cotton yarn with a yardage of 125 m / 50 g, e.g. Catania by Schachenmayr. You need about 3 balls of each color.

Alpacas always look cute and cuddly. The little alpaca lady Pamina is 25 cm tall and, thanks to the yarn used (chenille yarn for the muzzle, ears, and hooves, and teddy yarn for the rest), is just as soft and cuddly as she looks.

To make crocheting with the teddy yarn less difficult, a thin cotton yarn in a similar color is used at the same time as a carry-along yarn. This way, you can still see the stitches quite well, the shape of the animal is more stable, yet it loses none of its softness.

This charming little berry basket—featuring 6 different types of berries (cherries, strawberries, currants, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries)—is a lovely addition to a kids’ play store or play kitchen. You can crochet them all using just a little leftover yarn in various shades of red. The berries look very realistic and are roughly life-size.

For anyone who likes their Christmas decorations in gold and silver, these Christmas tree ornaments are perfect. But of course, you can also make them in any other color.

The ornaments are mainly made of corrugated cardboard and measure approximately 8 x 7 x 5 cm. They’re easy to make and well-suited even for beginners.

Knitting pattern for a turtleneck collar - neck warmer

As an alternative to a cowl or scarf, this collar also keeps the shoulder and neck area warm. Knitted with knit and purl stitches, this design is also suitable for beginners, as long as they already have some practice knitting in the round.

Knitting pattern for a scarf

Knitted with knit and purl stitches, this design is suitable for beginners. The scarf starts with a point and ends with a point, and both its width and length can easily be adjusted to your desired size.

Stella Star Set
beautiful pre-Christmas décor

-- to the pattern --

The stars are crocheted in no time from a few bits of leftover yarn and make wonderful décor for the pre-Christmas season.

Even as a beginner with basic knowledge, these stars are easy to crochet. The, as always, richly illustrated pattern with step-by-step instructions helps with that too, and a crochet chart is also included.

For the stars, 15g/20g/45g  cotton yarn (e.g., Gründl Cotton Fun, yardage 115m/50g) was used.
They measure 11cm, 13cm, and 22cm.

Coaster Set Fanny
colorful, pretty, useful

-- to the pattern --

The colorful, lively coasters are a lovely project for leftover yarn.

With basic crochet skills , these coasters can be crocheted quickly . As always, the pattern is richly illustrated and describes all 3 versions in detail (2-color, 3-color, 4-color).

Each coaster used just under 10 g of cotton yarn (e.g., Gründl Cotton Fun, 115 m/50 g). They have a diameter of approx. 11 cm.

If you’d also like to give gifts to children at Christmas, then you can surely use one or two fitting gift packages. This gift bag with the little Christmas bears on both sides would be very well suited for that.

This gift bag is made from photo cardstock and measures approx. 19 x 18 x 10 cm. The bears do take a bit of time, but otherwise the bag is very easy and quick to make.

Bonscher, crocheted

A small, lovely cowl, quick to make. It can be worn 3 ways and is therefore very versatile.
With the point facing down, I like to wear it under jackets and coats with collars and necklines, so the décolletage stays warm too.
Since it’s so quick to crochet, you absolutely need several in different colors.
In my opinion, it’s also “suitable for men.”

Requirements:
  • easy
  • thin double crochet stitches (explained and very easy)
Contents:
  • Written pattern + photos + crochet chart

Size information
  • 20 cm without, 31 cm with point x 56 cm circumference unstretched
  • easy to adapt to other sizes

Materials needed
  • 100 g Woolly Hugs Charity, 75% wool (mercerized merino), 15% polyamide, 10% polylactide (milk fiber), yardage 100 m/50 g
  • Crochet hook size 4.5 mm
  • 1 button, 15 mm (adjustable)

Nook 2 – The Corner Loop

Since the first Nook was so much fun and was very well-received, here’s a second version.
Instead of simply knitting in garter stitch, we’ve added a seed stitch pattern in the corners and ribbing in the center section. This ribbing causes the Nook to cinch in at the center, so it fits perfectly around the neck and keeps you cozy and warm.
This loop is also suitable for beginners, but it’s varied enough that even experienced knitters will enjoy it.
We knit using only knit stitches and purl stitches and increases. (As a consolation for those who don’t like purl stitches… there are plenty more knit stitches ;-) )
The ribbing should pull together nice and tight. That’s why I knitted this with size 6 needles instead of size 7 as indicated.
I’ve since knitted this loop several times with different yarns.
Almost any yarn works, but needle sizes 4–6 are best. The measurements in cm are listed in the pattern, and it’s easy to adjust them to fit your yarn.
