This cozy, one-size-fits-all poncho made from sock yarn is perfect for knitting while watching TV. It grows steadily as you go, and it’s fun to watch it take shape. It’s also very easy to follow, even for beginners who’ve knitted before.

A wonderful project for in between, which can be knitted very easily and quickly from leftover yarn (sock yarn here), is this cozy winter set for babies. It keeps their head, neck, feet, and hands nice and warm. Very easy to knit, even for beginners with the usual basic skills.

This baby blanket, knitted with lots of love and heart, is also great to knit while watching TV. You only need to pay attention around the heart pattern; most of it is easy to work on in the background.

It is knitted from fluffy, soft merino wool. Simply cozy for the little darling to snuggle up in.

The “Autumn Leaf” shawl is perfect for crocheting on the side while watching TV or during a fun crafting get-together—using gradient yarn or leftover yarn in fall colors. You start by crocheting it like a star blanket, then work in the points. The shawl is slightly longer in the back, so it keeps you nice and warm.
You can download the crochet pattern here.

With the right handicraft project, you can “enhance” an exciting movie. And along the way, something beautiful takes shape. For that to work, though, the handiwork should be as repetitive as possible: no complicated patterns, just stitch by stitch straight ahead. Here are my suggestions for you.

I hope you have lots of fun enjoying a cozy TV evening with your handiwork.
Warm regards from Ina

Crochet pattern “Endless Blanket”

You can crochet it as large as you like. The play of colors comes from the gradient yarn cake.

Knitting pattern “Timeless Baby Blanket in Merino Wool”
This is also a really lovely design to knit while watching TV. The pattern is very easy to follow, and you’ll quickly know it by heart. The blanket is wonderfully cuddly, warm, and soft, and it can even be machine washed.

Crochet pattern “Mosaic Blanket Made from Squares”
First we crochet lots of identical squares. That’s perfect for a TV evening. Once we have enough of them, we crochet them together into a blanket. Then add the border, and your one-of-a-kind blanket in your favorite colors is finished.

Crochet Pattern for a Blanket

Start in the center. The pattern spans two rounds, and you should be familiar with single crochet, chain stitches, and double crochet.

This triangular shawl is crocheted using the same pattern as the blanket above.

We start at the top, and you can decide on the size yourself. For this shawl, I used up many different single skeins and yarn scraps.

Knitting Pattern for a Loop

Knitted using only knit and purl stitches, this loop is a quick and easy project. The pattern makes it perfect for men—maybe a Christmas gift?

Knitting Pattern for a Scarf

This design is also knitted using only knit and purl stitches. This cable-like look is therefore well-suited for beginners as well.

Winter Dream
has absolutely simple patterns and is still perfect for knitting while watching TV.
It can be knitted with different yarn weights; the pattern includes two versions—one for sock yarn and this pink version, which is knitted with thicker yarn.

This baby blanket with a beautiful star pattern is perfect for crocheting while watching TV, and it’s crocheted in one piece, so you won’t have to sew any separate pieces together at the end.

There’s both a written pattern and a crochet chart that you can follow and tick off row by row. The pattern is suitable for ambitious beginners who are familiar with the basic crochet stitches; I’ll explain the bobbles used in great detail with plenty of close-up photos. I’m also available to answer any questions you may have.

Have fun crocheting :)
