Dear users, dear authors,
here in this thread you’ll find the awards ceremony for the September projects.

You can read through the September projects again at the link.
October Projects + September Projects 2020: the Crazypatterns Crafting Group (No advertising )

Info about the final stretch / awards ceremony:

How is it done?
If you’d like to join in, copy the section between the asterisks in the post directly below into your own text field / reply field, cross out what doesn’t apply, and fill in what you’d like to write down.

When will the September awards ceremony take place?
Around August 5/6, 2020. Every participant will be entered. No one goes offline without a title.

But I’m “only” a regular user here, not an author with my own shop. Can I still take part in the awards ceremony?

All users and all authors can take part in the awards ceremony.
Everyone who writes a corresponding post here in the thread is
automatically included in the awards ceremony. Newcomers are welcome to join in too. If you don’t have an account yet, register for free and simply join in.

September title awards: at least one title per person
If someone mastered many challenges in everyday life / offline / in “normal” life in September 2020, this can, at the request of the respective user / author, be recognized with a
suitable honorary title / with extra bonus points. If
necessary, I’ll come up with a suitable title.

Earn extra points / bonus points and improve your own karma: Here’s how it’s done.
- Of course, you always get extra
bonus karma points for photos / pictures you have uploaded yourself. Please do not upload third-party images or photos from the internet / photos you don’t have the rights to / photos that don’t belong to you. These will be deleted.

- Finished handmade items that are given to dear people as gifts or also
donated will of course always earn you extra karma points or bonus points, to appropriately acknowledge the time, effort, and energy you put into them.
--> Please provide the details here in the thread if you would like to.

- Feedback for the Crazypatterns authors ( e.g., in the form of reviews, comments, etc. ) is also always rewarded with extra points.
--> Please write down any details if you would like to.

Template to copy in the post directly below.

King/Queen of the long-term project

I'm working on sewing little lavender sachets (left in the picture) and Swiss stone pine sachets (right in the picture). I still have lots of lavender and Swiss stone pine. I'd like to sell them at the market sometime. But there aren't any this year, so I'm sewing and embroidering the little sachets......
I made and digitized the embroidery design myself.
I also made another embroidery design for the Swiss stone pine sachets, but haven't embroidered it yet; it's not quite perfect yet.
So, a long-term project......
I also embroidered kitchen towels, and digitized the design myself. Unfortunately, I already gave them away without taking a picture.

UFOs
Unfortunately, I have to carry over one UFO as unfinished again. Right now, I have to focus on fulfilling some wishes first.

King/Queen of the Long-Term Project
My long-term project—my poncho—is finally finished.

Best Use of Scraps in September: Scraps Are Great
I crocheted two coasters from scraps and gave them to my friend.

I also crocheted little ghosts from leftover yarn, which will be given away as well.

Yarn Diet 2020 /
I want the title “Conqueror of My Inner Slacker.” I haven’t bought any yarn since December 2019 and am using up my stash. Maybe I’ll even keep it up into next year.

Hardworking Little Helper
In September, I was able to finish quite a few things:
  • 2 coasters
  • 6 little ghosts
  • my long-term project—the poncho
I was also busy with other things. Every day, about 500 g of raspberries needed to be picked and processed.

Pattern Optimization Champion and Hero/Heroine of the Authors = Author Title in September
[x ] I completed and uploaded 1 new pattern in the month of September.

Developing this pattern took several months—and I am really super proud right now that I have finished it. 6 months ago I broke my wrist. Unfortunately, there were surgical treatment errors, and I am still struggling with the consequences today. BUT the most important thing is that I can move my hand and fingers. With lots of training, physio, and occupational therapy, I have now managed to crochet and knit again—not for such long periods and not such bulky things. Nothing can require too much twisting motion or strength in the wrist. So over the past few months, this doll dress came together piece by piece. The project brought me a lot of joy and kept me "in good spirits every day."

A new addition to the doll wardrobe: Fairy-tale Ball Gown for Small Dolls

Pink is every little girl's favorite color, so of course there had to be a pink dress:

The little hat is handmade from a bit of tulle left over from the tulle underskirt and a few little roses like the ones on the dress:

[x ] I used the advertising threads / other advertising opportunities on Crazypatterns in September.
--> Since I couldn't add anything new in the last 6 months, I tried to remind customers of my existing patterns. The advertising threads are a nice and free option for that. It was also well received.

Garden Season 2020

[x ] I made use of sunny moments and had lots of fun in the garden / on the balcony, etc.
Details:

I have a beautiful garden and enjoyed making myself comfortable there on the terrace with my handcrafting. Unfortunately, there isn't a photo of that. In the evenings I would move back into the conservatory with my things. Here is a snapshot of this slightly chaotic workspace:

You can also write down anything else that comes to mind here.

My 5-year-old granddaughter Bella came to visit. Her greatest joy is always my stash of dolls and doll things. She is my biggest critic. And then I also immediately see whether her fingers can manage the fasteners. She doesn't know the new ball gown yet ...

I don’t have much to show for this month either, since the yarn just isn’t cooperating with me right now and I’ve ripped out everything I started.

Stay strong even during the COVID-19 pandemic: become and remain the King/Queen of Perseverance
[ x ] I am and will continue to be strong, meet the relevant requirements (disinfecting, washing my hands thoroughly, keeping social distance, staying home, wearing masks, etc.), not lose heart, and hope for the best.

Shopping Queen in September
[ x ] I significantly stocked up on fabric in September, and I actually had a lot of fun doing it. :- ). Details:

At a fabric market, I got a little “out of control” and really went all out... and I realized that fabric takes up significantly more storage space than yarn. In any case, I’m well stocked for the next few weeks and have plenty of material to practice with.

Rescuer of the unruly fabric rescuer
[ x ] I used old material (fabric) in September, so I am an honorable and deserving fabric rescuer.  Details:

Years ago, I bought this great Christmas fabric on vacation—now I’ve finally sewn it.

Learned something new in September
[ x ] I learned something new (sewing) in September, which makes me a winner. :- ). Details:

My first attempts at sewing—I used old, worn-out jeans for this.
The shirt is a recent purchase from the fabric market.

I’ve put my autumnal crocheted pumpkins on display again. I really love these warm colors.

Staying brave even during the coronavirus pandemic: becoming and remaining the Perseverance King/Queen
[X ] I am and continue to be brave, meet the relevant requirements (disinfecting, washing hands thoroughly, staying socially distanced, staying home, wearing masks, etc.), lose my courage every now and then and find it again, and hope for the best.

There were trips to the creek and lots of biking

the regular visits from the hedgehog also kept us very entertained

Dear Josefa, you did a great job again! :)
I wish you a relaxing October, too.

The Ghost Queen and the Raspberry Queen especially brought a smile to my face.

The little ghosts are currently hanging in our window, waiting for their new companions. ;-)

Enkelwoll Queen of Contrasting Colors: What an imaginative title! That made me especially happy! The socks should be finished tomorrow! I was worried whether the dark green yarn would be enough, so for the first sock I initially left the toe in a contrasting color, but now everything seems to be fine…

Dear Josefa,

I also enjoyed my first time participating here. When you look back on a month, you’re amazed at everything you’ve accomplished, and that makes you proud. And now it’s even here in black and white. Thank you for the titles and for all your effort.

Best regards—Ina
