The coming weekend, with lots of rain and cold temperatures, is practically perfect for spending it knitting or crocheting on the sofa :-) Today I have three suggestions for lovely weekend projects that will lift your mood even in gloomy weather. All three featured models are knitted in double-face and each is finished with a crocheted border. Click the link under each image to go to the pattern.

Pattern for the “Flamingo Love” potholders
- these two love-struck flamingos are a lot of fun to knit. Once they’re finished, they’ll look forward to hot matters in your kitchen :-) And when they have nothing to do, they’re happy just looking decorative. The potholders are also ideal as a gift or a little something to bring along to a dinner invitation.

Pattern for the cuddly cloth or washcloth “Diggi Dino” - little Diggi Dino, unlike his real ancestors, is cuddly soft and loves to snuggle. He would be happy to have a little friend soon to cuddle with. He’s also happy to serve as a washcloth, and he’s extra gentle on children’s skin.

Pattern for the cuddly cloth or washcloth “Elo Elephant” - Elo Elephant also can hardly wait to finally get a little friend. He isn’t thick-skinned at all, but wonderfully cuddly-soft. Maybe he’ll get to move in with you soon?

Sonja wishes you a lovely weekend with plenty of time for crafting!

Bring some color and cheer into your home on a rainy weekend with the pattern for the flower "Rita".

For a relaxing sofa project that will also keep you warm during the cold season, the Dragon Tail "Polar Dragon" is just the thing. Its patterns are easy to memorize, so you can crochet along nice and comfortably.

With the rainy weekend forecast, you can really make yourself comfortable on the couch with some needlework, and maybe you’d like to use up some leftover yarn, in which case Klausi is definitely just the thing, especially since the Advent and Christmas season is slowly coming into view.
here is the pattern

A cozy weekend at home on the sofa; it can be cold and dreary outside for once. We'll simply bring the colorful fall colors into our home! Take a look through your leftover yarn for matching colors, then you can get started right away on one of the following projects:

 Egg Cozy "Autumn Leaves"
Egg cozy, decorated in bright colors with crocheted leaves, chestnuts, and acorns—breakfast is instantly much more fun, and you'll look forward to a lovely autumn walk.

 Scarecrow Victor
The funny scarecrow with the cheerful pumpkin face is about 35 cm tall (without the stick) and looks very decorative on a plant shelf or in a sunroom, especially in fall. Victor can also be crocheted from leftover yarn you already have.

Placemat "Tea for 2"
With a good cup of tea, even dreary weather is easy to bear, especially when there are two of you. Crochet the "Tea for 2" placemat in your favorite colors to match your home decor! It's pretty quick to make, and you'll soon be able to enjoy tea for two in just the right setting.

Knitting for children is a wonderful way to relax. This sweater is knitted from cuddly soft sock yarn and is very easy to make. It grows with the child a little and fits sizes 86-98.

Knitting doll clothes is also a lot of fun and just the right thing for the weekend. It is finished quickly, and you only need a few colors of leftover yarn. The jacket (top-down raglan) and the hat fit dolls approx. 45-50 cm tall, and small newborns or preemies can wear them too.

This gives you an idea for Christmas, for example. The little doll mom will be delighted.

To match, you can knit a sweet little pair of doll leggings right away. Very easy and looks adorable when worn.

St. Martin’s Day is still a little ways off, but why not make a lantern now anyway? If your child loves going to St. Martin’s Day parades and likes the color pink, then this project is a wonderful weekend activity!

This cute lantern consists of five identical basic shapes, plus a base and an end piece with an opening. It’s made from cardstock and translucent paper, measures about 20 x 20 cm, and is very easy to recreate.

With these patterns, staying at home is really fun. The following patterns are available in my Blickfang-Design store. Feel free to stop by. I look forward to your visit.

Could your desk use a little color? If you make this pencil holder in your favorite colors, you’re guaranteed to be in a much better mood while you work.

The pencil holder is made of photo cardstock, is about 11 cm wide and 8 cm tall. It’s easy to make and well-suited even for skilled beginners.

Tip: The holder can also be used as a container for small office supplies, such as paper clips, thumbtacks, erasers, and the like.

What would I crochet, craft, or knit over the weekend? Well, of course you do need a little bit of material and the pattern so you can get started today. So here are my recommendations for a small weekend craft project.

For more sample pictures, information, and the pattern, just click on the headings.

I wish you a lovely, cozy, and relaxing weekend.
Warm regards - Yours, Ina

1. Felt soles from leftovers

--> If you make felted shoes now and then, you might have a few leftover bits of felting wool. You can use them to make beautiful, warming felt soles for rain boots, winter boots, or clogs. They insulate well against the cold from below and keep your feet warm and dry. And on top of that, they cushion your step because the felt is nice and soft. A template for cutting them out is included, in case you don’t have any old insoles in the right shoe size.

2. My Favorite Summer Dress

--> You’re sure to find a few grams of yarn and 3 snap fasteners in your stash for this. It’s fun to crochet these little dresses. It definitely won’t stop at just one, want to bet?

3. Wrist Warmers

--> And I also have a weekend project for the knitting fans. You only need 50 g of yarn per pair of wrist warmers. So, 1 skein. That should be easy to find. From it, you’ll knit a pair of enchanting wrist warmers with a decorative cable pattern and thumb gusset. They come in very handy now in the fall.

Wow, you’re showing some beautiful crafts for the weekend.
I really shouldn’t even be looking at them because I don’t have any time to do any crafting at all.
