Oh, dear Josefa, this is my favorite topic. I like dolls and I like dressing them up nicely. That’s why there are many different models in my shop. Maybe there’s something for you, too? Each model only ever needs a little yarn, so it certainly won’t stop at just one item of clothing. Everything can be mixed and matched wonderfully.

I hope you have lots of fun window-shopping and making them yourself. For better clarity, I’ll divide my suggestions into crochet, knitting, and craft patterns. For more pictures, information, and the pattern itself, just click on the headings.

Warm greetings from Ina

Here are my 10 favorites to crochet:

1. Skirt with flounce and top

2. Poncho in various versions with hat

3. Nightgown with jacket

4. Princess dress

5. 3-piece set consisting of skirt, top, and bolero

6. Swimsuit

7. Beachwear, 6 pieces

8. Chic fashion, 3-piece, consisting of dress, clutch, hat

9. Doll fashion Swing series, 6-piece

10.  Fresh summer fashion

And I also have quite a few projects for knitting fans to make. What’s special about the knitted doll clothes is that I personally find them more delicate—simply because the stitch pattern of knitted stitches is finer than that of crocheted ones. So here are my favorites to knit:

1. Set with Pants, Overalls, and Top

2. Turtleneck Sweater in Variable Lengths

3. The Ice Princess’s Coat

4. Long Dress with Slit

5. Cardigan in Variable Lengths

6. Short Summer Dress

7. Ball Gown

8. Doll Clothing Basics Series

9. Elegant Evening Dress

And last but not least, here’s something for the DIY enthusiasts. Maybe Grandpa has a knack for working with wood? And Grandma knows her way around a sewing machine? Then they could build beautiful doll beds. Every child would be thrilled. So here are my crafting recommendations:

1. Princess bed with pillows and bedding
--> includes a materials list, a detailed construction plan (template), and detailed instructions

2. Simple doll bed with bedding, pillows, and a rug

--> This model has only straight sides and no frills

3. Pillow and rug

4. 3-piece reversible bedding set (pillow, comforter, sheet)

5. Free pattern for an armchair and rug

Thank you, dear Josefa. A customer once wrote to me saying she’d love to be my doll :-)
Best regards, Ina

Dressing dolls is so much fun. And it has many advantages. The pieces can be knitted quickly, even leftover yarn gets used up here, and best of all—the eyes of every little doll mommy start to shine. A gift like this is always gladly received, especially when it has been knitted by Grandma or Mom herself. And even more so when the baby dolls in it can no longer be distinguished from a real baby.

The following clothing fits dolls (and in some cases teddies too) measuring 45–50 cm—or also preemies or small newborns. All pieces are easy to make, provided you have knitting experience.

I hope you have lots of fun choosing and knitting!

A summer clothing set—skirt, sweater, and headband

Colorful cardigan (top-down raglan) with hat

Matching leggings—quick and easy to knit

Sleeping bag—so the little darling sleeps well too

Schlüttli with hat (top-down raglan)—just like for a baby

Sweater with side button placket—just like real baby clothes

The matching pants for these two tops are available too—in two versions

I have so many dolls at home. Some are still from my daughter, from when she used to play with dolls.
And some other dolls belong to my granddaughters, which I love to dress.

I’d like to show you the dolls with clothing here.

I'll show you the contents of the wardrobe in my dollhouse. Maybe there's something here you'd like to crochet. You only need a very small amount of yarn (preferably thin, so the pieces don't add too much bulk), and the pieces are crocheted in no time. This way, you can crochet something from a leftover bit of yarn now and then in between projects and gradually complete the doll's wardrobe.

Lingerie Set
The lingerie set consists of 6 pieces: 2 different panties, a bra, a bustier, a babydoll top, and a negligee. Of course, all the pieces can be combined with each other.
Beach Set
The beach set is also made up of 6 pieces. Here you get not only the pattern for a beautiful swimsuit, but also for the parasol, air mattress, beach towel, straw hat, and Mochila bag.
 Vacation Wardrobe
If you'd like to crochet even more pieces for a beach vacation, I recommend this 10-piece pattern: bikini top, bikini bottoms, beach tunic, capri pants, shorts, spaghetti-strap top, lace blouse, long skirt, beach bag, and sun hat can all be made with this pattern.
Bathrobe and Matching Slippers
Anyone who likes to take baths will surely have a use for a pretty bathrobe that can be crocheted with or without a hood. Also included is a pattern for a bathrobe for a male fashion doll, the turban, and the towel.
2 Summer Dresses with a Cowl Neckline
You can never have enough summer dresses! With this pattern, you can make 4 variations of a dress with a cowl neckline: simple, elegant, boho style, or schoolgirl style.
Rainbow Dress
This rainbow dress is just the thing for the evening party! You can crochet it in a short and a long version. The pattern for the pouch is included.
Little Black Dress
Even more elegant is this strapless cocktail dress with a fringed hem. To match: the pattern for the clutch and the hat.
Peacock Princess Evening Gown
The queen of every ball night wears this fairy-tale, bright blue evening gown, which looks wonderful on little dolls with any hair color. It is worn with the matching headpiece and a small fan.
Short Dirndl
There's something in my doll wardrobe for fans of traditional costumes, too. The sweet short dirndl with the heart-shaped traditional costume bag can be crocheted in many color combinations and looks different every time.
Traditional Dirndl with Accessories
Here you can see a slightly longer dirndl in traditional colors with  accessories: necklace, traditional hat, bag, and gingerbread heart go perfectly with the outfit.
Traditional Outfit for Male Dolls
I've thought of the male dolls, too. They may not need quite as many pieces of clothing as the girls, but a little variety is good here as well. So for fans of traditional costumes, here is a hearty outfit with lederhosen, traditional shirt, jacket, hat, knee socks, and beer mug.
Traditional Costume Value Set
You can also purchase the last two patterns together as a value set.
Summer Pants and Shirt
Another pattern for the male dolls: the summer pants can be crocheted long or as shorts, with or without slash pockets. The shirt has a V-neck and dropped shoulders.
Sweater and Pants
Cold days are covered, too. The sweater and pants look a little different every time, depending on which yarn you use. This lets you create very different looks with one pattern.
 Fur Jacket, Hat, and Cowl
For especially cold days, there's this cozy "fur" jacket with a matching hat and a colorful cowl.
 Ice-Skating Costume
Sporty little dolls head out onto the ice in winter. The pretty ice-skating costume has a glittery hem finish. It also includes the pattern for matching earmuffs and instructions on how to make matching ice skates yourself.
Mermaid Costume
If you love fairy-tale looks, you can transform your doll into a dreamy water nymph with this fishtail.

Did you find something you like? Just click on the blue text. There you'll find more information and the pattern to download.

How about a paper doll? This very affordable classic toy offers endless possibilities: To make new outfits, all you need is paper, pens, scissors, and a little imagination and artistic talent.

The Mila doll is about 25.6 cm tall and just needs to be printed out, glued onto sturdier paper, and cut out. For her starter wardrobe, you can also download the summer and fall collection right away.
