Why are triangular shawls so popular?

Dear users, dear authors,
We have plenty of triangular shawls in our shop, and more are added every day. Could you explain to me why triangular shawls are so popular? Do you simply enjoy crocheting or knitting triangular shawls, or do you actually wear them often? Do you like them more than scarves?

There are many reasons why triangular scarves are so popular—first, they’re versatile, and when you’re in a hurry, you can just wrap them around your neck in the winter. They’re longer down the back than a scarf and short enough around the arms where they might get in the way, so you get warmth exactly where you need it. On top of that, these triangular scarves have a very long history in fashion; back in the day, with traditional costumes and everyday clothing, a triangular scarf was 99% of the time part of the outfit—some pieces of *fashion* just never go out of style :-) ;-)

I wear my triangular shawls instead of a scarf in the winter—they also cover my neckline a little.
In the summer, I wear the cotton ones instead of a scarf when I feel a little chilly—to shield myself from the sun at the lake or the outdoor pool.

And I wear my triangular shawl in the mornings and evenings during the transitional seasons, when I’m doing my last round in the garden and when we’re sitting on the patio in the evening. I reach for the shawl, not a jacket. I can just snuggle up in a shawl and wear it wherever I’m feeling cold at the moment.

I have to admit that I only recently discovered my love for triangular shawls. I’ve already knitted my third one, and I mostly wear them in the morning or evening on the patio or in the garden. Or when I’m feeling a bit chilly, but a sweater would be too warm. It’s really a great alternative. And that’s why I already have yarn ready for a fourth shawl. Then I’ll have all the colors I love.
