Dear users, dear authors,
here you’ll find projects suitable for bobbels + bobbel leftovers, gradient yarn + leftover gradient yarn, and novelty yarn + leftovers of novelty yarn. Get started now. You’ll love it.

@Authors,
2–3 patterns per author are enough. Don’t forget links, images, info, etc.

Sponge yarn isn’t just for dish and exfoliating sponges. The leftover bits are also wonderful for edging crochet projects.

Here are 2 examples:

The lower edge, sleeves, and neckline, as well as the ear warmers of this  ice-skating costume for fashion dolls  are edged with iridescent sponge yarn, creating that glitter effect girls love.

The hems of both Angel and Devil hand puppets were also edged with sponge yarn, giving them a slight shimmer.

As you can see, even small leftover bits of this effect yarn can still be used wonderfully and meaningfully!

Thanks to top-down raglan construction, the Sama Summer Sweater works very well with a cake yarn in your favorite colors, since the sweater has no seams.

For the model shown, you’ll need 140 g of 3-ply yarn (50% cotton, 50% polyacrylic).

The four-page PDF file is beginner-friendly.

1) The airy triangular shawl "Lilith" is an easy-to-make yet striking shawl. The simple pattern works up quickly and is also great to work on casually on the side—ideal for summer. Very well suited for beginners.

2) The shawl "Red Coral" is also wonderfully suited for beginners. One of my favorite shawls—quick, easy, and lots of fun to crochet... and an absolute pleasure to wear.

3) Triangular shawl "Mayla" - classically beautiful and airily light. The lace pattern is very easy to make, repeats every 2 rows, and is wonderfully easy to work. The shawl is crocheted from the side, is nearly symmetrical, and well suited for beginners.

The “Good Mood” Scarf is perfect for Bobbel yarn cakes.
You simply keep knitting the pattern, and it can be knitted with either 3-strand or 4-strand yarn.

The pattern is written out row by row and also shown in a chart.

This cardigan for toddlers approx. 1–2 years old (size 86-92) is knitted from mottled Bobbel cotton. Matching color accents were added with suitable leftover yarn. The cardigan is easy to knit and has no seams.

This scarf + loop was knitted from thin hand-dyed lace yarn, creating a beautiful gradient. It has a pretty lace pattern that can easily be customized in width or length.

First you fall in love with the ball of yarn and the colors. But with a gradient yarn/yarn cake, it’s always exciting to see how the color gradient develops in the project. Here are 3 examples from my yarn workshop for you to make:

1. Crochet blanket for children “Endless Blanket”
  • Any size possible
  • We crochet from the inside out and let the colors surprise us
  • Uncomplicated pattern

No. 2 - How about a baby bunting bag? Here, too, the gradient of the yarn immediately catches our eye. In a solid color, the model would be boring—I think it looks much nicer this colorful. You can knit it in 2 sizes. We knit using the entrelac technique. The bunting bag has a wide fold-over cuff, so the kidneys and little tummy are kept especially warm. And the feet can kick freely.

My recommendation No. 3 would be a lace shawl. This one is especially well suited for lace beginners, as the pattern consists of only two alternating rows. In the end, you'll be amazed at how the colors have developed from the ball of yarn. The shawl is wet-blocked at the end (I describe this in detail for you in the pattern) so you can clearly see the flowing pattern. You can wear the shawl open or knotted. That makes it perfect with a festive dress or everyday outfits.

I wish you lots of joy with your colorful yarn and the new project - Yours, Ina
