Everything is in bloom right now, and I took some photos of the flowers during my walk through the garden. Feel free to share some photos of the flowers or plants growing in your own garden here, too. Why not take a walk around your garden and upload your photos here?

Monika, I like your pictures too.
It’s raining here today—nature could use it.

When the weather improves again, I’ll go for a little walk around too.

I also enjoy capturing the garden year with my camera. Here are a few spots from my garden for you

Thank you so much for the great photos. So many turtles. They really are beautiful animals.

Thank you, everyone! :)

Wow, Petra, you have tortoises… I’m sooo happy!!! I still miss mine today. Back then (it’s been 25 years already), we also had some that had their own little enclosure in our garden. In the winter, we’d let them sleep in a box filled with soil. They were so trusting. And they looked just like yours.

I also like your garden—I love how natural it is. Ours is the same way. I’ll post some photos soon.

Oh, I really like the corner with the hosta.

Your houseleek in the concrete really stands out, too. Once it gets a little moss on it—perfect!

Ohhh woww!! Marion, I really love your garden. So many blooming plants... we don’t have that many yet. Thanks for sharing a glimpse. The hedgehog and the bird are so cute.

When the weather gets better, I’ll go on another photo tour.

Thank you. Some of the flowers are already starting to wilt.

Monika, I liked the hedgehog right away, too.

It was funny, though: It wasn’t until I read the receipt at home that I realized it wasn’t a hedgehog at all.
Haha, it’s a MOUSE.
Anyway, I still really like it. 😊😊😊

That’s funny, Marion. From the head, I also first thought it was a mouse. But with the spines (at least that’s what it looks like), it’s a hedgehog mouse then. Funny! It’s definitely cute.

We don’t have a garden, but I had my camera with me on our outing today.
I found some flower photos here too (the beach on the Drammenfjord).

I forgot to include two pictures.
1. Lilac tree
2. I thought this one was so funny—that tree that’s bent over there

As you can already tell from my profile picture, I'm an absolute frog fan. This shows in my garden too

Petra, your frogs are all so beautiful and have great places to sit.
I really like your garden, too. Everything is allowed to grow however it wants there. I do the same. Every now and then I pull the weeds, but otherwise everything is allowed to grow as it pleases.

By the way, I have a frog, too, but it doesn’t sit in the garden.

It looks funny with the frogs. I think it’s great.

Monika, every now and then there’s already a little bit of summer too. :-) Finally.

Petra, your garden is a real paradise! Wow, you live in such a beautiful place!! :)
The frogs in there are clearly feeling right at home. And of course, you love turtles too (just like me, by the way).

Today we celebrated my husband’s 70th birthday (belatedly) in the garden. I completely forgot to take any photos.  As soon as the sun comes out again, I’ll go outside and snap a few shots. The wild strawberries are already ripe over here and taste delicious.

Christina, that’s beautiful!
You remind me of my elderberry bush… I still want to use that, too.

And today I saw that the roses are blooming now. I’ll have photos of those, too.

Have a wonderful Pentecost weekend!

Here’s a new tour of the garden that I captured for you yesterday...

I bought this bouquet of garden flowers at the weekly market.

You can already see little apples on the tree.

The late-season raspberries already have blossoms, which are being busily visited by bees and bumblebees.

Our roses are simply gorgeous this year.

The currants are already turning red.

The peonies are also absolutely gorgeous this year next to our patio—they started blooming right on time for Pentecost.

And we also have a small patch of wildflowers. There, everything is allowed to grow wild as it pleases.

The fig tree is putting out leaves, and lots of birds are flitting about on it, even though it’s still pretty small.

And then there are a few pansies standing in the entryway. These ones have been spared by the snails so far. Now we’ve planted snapdragons, but they aren’t blooming yet.

Beautiful pictures... I love flowers.

We don’t have a garden, but we do have a very green balcony.
Here are a few recent photos:

Petra, your garden looks huge! And that’s probably only half of it. It looks like a park. Ours isn’t that well-kept. ;-)

These are absolutely amazing photos.
Unfortunately, I don’t have anything to add to that.

I haven’t had a garden for 20 years. We couldn’t fit it in the moving truck,

Yeah, that’s really too bad. But you can also set up a little garden right on your balcony. For example, our strawberries and lettuce are growing on the balcony, too. That way, I can get to them faster, and the snails can’t get to them. ;-)

Wow, Andrea, it’s beautiful over there, too. Summer comes a little later there, doesn’t it? It looks really great.

The bees are really amazing. They’re sitting right there, completely undisturbed—it looks like they’re sleeping inside the flower. It’s pretty funny. And the hollyhocks have so much pollen that the bumblebees always come out completely caked in it. They can barely fly afterward. It’s so nice to watch all of this now.

The garden is wonderful in the summer.

The hydrangeas are blooming beautifully. I haven’t had any luck growing them so far.

The sage is blooming beautifully. Mine has already finished blooming and is absolutely covered in aphids. Gross.

Wow, it looks absolutely beautiful at your place—and so natural. I love it!

This year, the evening primroses have taken root right next to our outdoor seating area. At first, we didn’t even know what kind of plants they were. By the way, they taste delicious and decorate our fruit muesli in the morning.

Here are some new photos. Take a look... a little glimpse of summer

This sunflower is just blooming right there in the raised bed, without ever having been sown or planted. It’s become a real beauty. It gets bigger every day.

The evening primroses are absolutely beautiful and bloom nonstop. By the way, they also taste delicious as a topping for granola or in a salad. We have so many of them in the garden that we can even harvest and dry them.

This is what we picked in half a day—almost 250 grams so far. That always leaves enough to freeze for our own fruit ice cream. Our daily harvest is slowly increasing to about a kilo a day. The pumpkins are already climbing out of the raised bed. They’re going to be huge this year, and there are plenty of them. A photo will follow shortly.

It’s lovely when you’re rewarded in summer for all the work in the garden.

Flowers, fruit, and vegetables.

Monika, your raspberries look tempting and delicious.

Yes, Petra, we’re very grateful for everything the garden gives us. The heads of lettuce are huge this year, too. The raspberry harvest is taking a lot of time. We’re picking about 300 g in the morning and another 300 g in the evening—and the amount is growing every day. We’re eating them, freezing them for ice cream, and making jam like crazy.

Photos of the pumpkins and the lettuce will follow.

Green zebra tomatoes (they turn yellowish when ripe)

Pineapple tomatoes—the largest one weighed 600 g

Bottle tomato

We had delicious whole-grain bread with tomatoes every morning and evening. I’ll be able to enjoy that again this week.

I don’t have a garden either.
Instead, I take photos while I’m out walking and at the Palmengarten.

Wow, you guys are growing a lot of vegetables. It’s great when you can just step out into the garden to pick up dinner.

I spotted this little guy in my garden.

Yes, Petra, I really appreciate that too! Fresh fruit and fresh vegetables—it doesn’t get any more convenient or healthier than that.

That’s a pretty caterpillar you found. I completely forgot to take a picture of our butterfly bush. There are so many colorful butterflies on it. Unfortunately, it’s almost done blooming.
