This cute lion couple is wonderful to crochet with a few yellow leftover yarns. I used cotton yarn with a yardage of 125 m / 50 g (Catania9 and a yellow eyelash yarn (Brazilia) for this.

The lion and lioness are each about 7 cm tall and are great as little good-luck charms (e.g., for those born under the sign of Leo), keychains, or bag charms.

Even little finger puppet animals can be made easily from leftover yarn. Here you’ll find a crochet pattern for 3 jungle animals: an elephant, a giraffe, and a crocodile. They’ll be about 9 cm tall. For these, I also used cotton yarn with a yardage of 125 m / 50 g (Catania).

You can also give your leftover yarn a new lease on life with these little spring birds.

You can use the birds as decorations on twigs in a vase, as gift tags, on homemade cards, and as appliqués.
Strung on a ribbon, perhaps with a few colorful beads, the little birds can be used as decorative hangers on a door, a cabinet, the wall, or a window.
Using a skewer or floral wire, you can quickly turn the little birds into a pretty, colorful flower stake for your kitchen herbs or flowers on the windowsill.

The pattern includes the crochet pattern for the spring birds and the crochet chart.
Difficulty level: easy, suitable for ambitious beginners with some practice
Crochet stitches used: chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, as well as double crochet and treble crochet.
