Happy Easter Weekend

I, too, wish everyone here a wonderful, sunny, and joyful—and above all, healthy—Easter. Enjoy the blue sky, the scent of blossoms in the air, and the chirping of the birds. Everything else will work itself out, and we’ll be very grateful for everything we have.

I wish everyone a wonderful Easter... and don’t be sad—we’ll all make up for those big family celebrations later! Until then, let’s just be happy that we’re doing well and focus on the positive.

Dear Andrea, it’s lovely that you’re showing us your Easter treasures. Did you embroider the Easter eggs yourself, or are they decorated with beads? I especially like the one with the chick. But hasn’t Santa sneaked into the very front of the picture?

I also wish everyone a happy Easter! It will be quieter than usual, and probably less stressful, too. Let’s make the most of it and enjoy the beautiful weather! After all, we’re still allowed to go for walks.

Somehow, I don’t mind not doing anything this year. Leo is still too little to hunt for eggs anyway, and home is the nicest place to be :)

I’m most looking forward to Sunday morning. I bought an Easter bunny for each of my two men (a chocolate bunny in the colors of his favorite soccer team for the big one, and a stuffed bunny for Leo), and I’m looking forward to the shocked look and the... “Oh no, I didn’t get you anything” :D

Yes, those are Styrofoam eggs beaded with rocailles (I even have a book with instructions for that), made years ago, and I’m not giving them away either; they’re my treasures. They’re too heavy to hang on the branches, so every Easter they go in the little basket.

I’m sending you Easter greetings from the spring-like, romantic Ruhr region; the photos are from our Easter walk today, which included our first climb up a slag heap of the year.
