Does this sound familiar to you? I’m currently crocheting with some yarn I bought in
the summer of 2015.
I took that yarn with me on vacation in September 2015 and used it to crochet some granny squares. We spent our vacation in America, and I had a great view while I was crocheting.

We had rented a wooden house on high stilts in Black Forrest. The house had three stories, each with its own balcony.

And this is what my view looked like when I was crocheting.

Of course, I didn’t finish the blanket during that vacation. But I did manage to complete a lot of granny squares.

In
June 2017 (yes, you read that right—
two years later), I finally finished the blanket.

And now I’m using up the leftover yarn to make a new blanket. I can still crochet with about 150 grams; then there’ll be room in my leftover-yarn box for new yarn again.

Do you have any craft projects that remind you of a past vacation? A special place because it was so beautiful there?
