Baby blankets are a popular gift for a new baby and are perfect for crocheting outdoors in the garden or while watching TV. My shop offers two versions: one with a cute heart pattern and one with a classic zigzag pattern based on an original pattern from my grandma.

Both patterns come with both written instructions and a chart, so you can choose whichever works best for you.

Crochet a Baby Blanket Full of Hearts

The blankets are crocheted using a gradient yarn, and you’re free to choose your own colors and materials depending on the season.

The patterns are each suitable for ambitious beginners, who already know the basic stitches (crocheting in rows, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet). If you have any questions, I’m happy to help.

Have fun crocheting :)

The little dress-up dolls and their doll moms love mermaid blankets, too.  These are quickly crocheted from just a few bits of leftover yarn and only go up to the waist, so the little doll can turn into a real mermaid. If you’d like the fishtail to be longer, simply crochet a few more rounds at the beginning.
The crochet pattern is also suitable for beginners. Maybe the doll mom will even give it a try herself? With Mom’s help, she’s sure to make a wonderful piece!
In the pattern, you’ll also find the instructions for the top and the headpiece.
You can download it here!

Oh, you can always use blankets: for yourself or as gifts. And they are also a lot of fun to make. Here are my suggestions for you:

1. Crocheted mosaic blanket made of squares

2. Knitted timeless baby blanket made of cuddly-soft merino wool

3. Crocheted baby or children's blanket, African Flowers

I hope you enjoy your new handicraft.

Best wishes from Ina

This baby blanket, made from extra-soft merino wool, is knitted with lots of love and care—and the baby who snuggles up in it is sure to feel it.

Most of it is very easy to knit, even while watching TV. Only the hearts require a little more attention.

Cable-like look without a cable needle - This pattern is knitted using only knit and purl stitches. The border is a simple seed stitch. The pattern is written out row by row, and you’ll also find a knitting chart to follow.

As with a granny square, this crocheted blanket is started from the center. It is worked in rounds, and you’ll need to know single crochet, double crochet, and chain stitches. This blanket is a great way to use up your yarn scraps, and the size can be customized just the way you want.

Crochet pattern for a blanket in various colors. You can change color after every two rows to create this pattern. You should know single crochet, double crochet, and chain stitches.

The Manta blanket can be knitted as a baby blanket or a sofa throw, and thanks to the double strand of thick yarn, it’s finished very quickly. The pattern is super easy to follow and suitable even for experienced beginners. Just by using knit stitches and purl stitches, you create this fantastic texture that doesn’t look anything like classic, boring knitted pieces. Thanks to this technique, no complicated border is needed. You can customize the colors to suit your own taste.

The Mara baby blanket can be used on both sides, as it’s knitted with a pattern of knit and purl stitches. The pattern is explained in detail and also illustrated with a chart.
All you need is 200g of Fine Merino Socks or equivalent sock yarn with approximately 420m per 100g.
Of course, you can easily make it smaller or larger.

The Lina baby blanket is knitted from the very soft Fine Merino Socks yarn, but since it also contains some synthetic fiber content, it can even be machine-washed.
The pattern consists only of knit stitches and purl stitches, so the blanket can be used on both sides—no need to worry about which side is facing up!
The pattern is written out row by row and is also illustrated with a chart.

Baby Blanket Lilly
cozy blanket for sweet dreams

-- to the pattern --

The popular baby blanket with the sleeping mouse family brings a smile to everyone's face.

The pattern describes all the steps in detail with lots of photos so you can crochet the blanket.
Only basic crochet skills are needed. For advanced crocheters, there are crochet charts for the blanket and also all the appliqués.

For the blanket, I crocheted with about 550 g of cake yarn (4-ply, yardage 190 m/50 g - partly gradient, partly solid).

Crochet Pattern for a Blanket

This pattern is crocheted from the center out and can be customized to any size. Here, I used 300 grams of beige and 150 grams of brown Schachenmayr Catania yarn.

You should be familiar with single crochet, slip stitch, double crochet, and chain stitch.
