New Year’s Resolutions for 2016—Find More Time for Crafts

My resolution for 2016 goes like this: I want to eat whatever I want, as much as I want, and whenever I want—and not gain a single gram, or even lose some weight. Okay, a girl can dream. :)
What about you—do you make New Year’s resolutions? You know, the usual stuff: exercise more, and the classic one—quit smoking and all that?
Those classic resolutions don’t really last very long, and once January creeps by, they’re not that exciting anymore.
Am I actually the only one who thinks that November and Advent fly by—you barely notice it, it’s over so fast—but then it takes forever again until spring? It drags on like old chewing gum. Oh well.
Anyway, we’re talking about New Year’s resolutions now

More time for DIY, definitely.

Finish my cozy blanket project. Almost half of it is done, but after two months of knitting only knit stitches, it did get a bit boring, and I had to do something else first. 

Try something new. 

Read more again (actually my second passion, unfortunately a bit neglected).

I don’t do the classic resolutions. I battle the extra pounds all year round...I don’t need resolutions for that.

I gave up on resolutions a long time ago—they’re usually history by New Year’s Day anyway. ;-)

I'd like to have more time for crafting in the new year and stay healthy.

Definitely stay healthy!! There’s nothing more important.

Quitting smoking used to be on my New Year’s Eve to-do list, too. But it never worked out. After a very heavy smoking habit (about 50 cigarettes a day toward the end), I eventually decided “for myself”: “You’ll quit tomorrow.” I left the last cigarette in the pack that evening, then smoked it the next morning at the office while enjoying a cup of coffee—and that was it. To this day… it’s been over 12 years.
Losing weight and exercising were always New Year’s Eve resolutions, too ;)

When it comes to crafts, though, my biggest wish for the new year is that I can bring everything I have in mind to life. For me, 2016 is also another big step forward as an “entrepreneur.” My days as a small business owner are over, and I hope I’ve done everything right so that I can start the new year on Friday feeling relaxed and full of anticipation.
