Even if you’re not yet very skilled with a crochet hook, you can crochet this cute little airplane using a bit of leftover yarn. It’s quick, not difficult, and you can practice with leftover yarn first. On its own, it can be used as a keychain or bag charm, and if you make several of them, you can turn them into a pretty, colorful mobile.
You can find the crochet pattern right here!

Potholders are the classic beginner’s project, but that doesn’t mean they have to be boring! This fun strawberry is quick and easy to crochet using potholder yarn and will be an eye-catcher in any kitchen!

Here’s what I used:
  • approx. 35 g cotton yarn (length approx. 85 m/50 g) in red
  • approx. 25 g cotton yarn (approx. 125 m/50 g) in green
  • leftover cotton yarn (approx. 125 m/50 g) in white
  • Scraps of cotton yarn (approx. 100 m/50 g) in yellow
  • 3.5 mm crochet hook
  • 3.0 mm crochet hook
  • 1 thick sewing needle for sewing
And you can find the crochet pattern here!

The scrap eaters aren’t just called that—they really do gobble up all your leftover yarn, and more besides. Here you can use all your scraps creatively, even toilet paper rolls. Crocheting them is very easy.

These funny little characters are a hit at children’s birthday parties because they can be filled with lots of little things and then given to the guests to take home. Afterward, they can sit on a desk holding pens, or be given away again with small surprises or vouchers.

These colorful striped pants for teddy bears and dolls (approx. 40 cm) are quick and easy to knit. There’s even room for the teddy bear’s little tail to stick through.

This is a great way to use up super colorful leftover yarn.

This play kitchen meal set is ideal for beginners. Toddlers especially love it, because now they can feed their dolls and teddy bears healthy food.

It uses very little yarn—leftover yarn is more than enough.

You can’t go wrong with these egg cups: They are so easy to craft that they are wonderfully suitable both for beginner crafters and for crafting with children.

The egg cups are made from photo cardstock and, besides being simple, also have a very practical side: You can stack them and store them in a space-saving way.

The approx. 11 cm sunflowers made from sponge yarn are also easy and quick to crochet:

Required skills: crochet start with a magic ring, slip stitches, chain stitches, single crochet, multiple double crochets.

The sunflowers are practical wash pads. They are also very decorative, and their sunny color helps brighten up a gloomy mood. They also make a lovely small gift or little present to bring along.

You can get the crochet pattern for the sunflower wash pads here

1) One of my favorite shawls—quick, easy, and a lot of fun to crochet… and an absolute joy to wear.

2) “Mayla” triangular shawl—classically beautiful and light and airy. The lace pattern is very easy to work, repeats every 2 rows, and is a breeze to crochet. The shawl is crocheted from the side and is nearly symmetrical.

A tea light holder that’s suitable for beginners and even for crafting with children: If you’re still looking for themed craft projects for strawberry season, then this model is definitely a good fit, regardless of experience or special prior knowledge.

This tea light holder is made from photo cardstock and is approx. 2 cm high; the strawberry motif is approx. 10 x 11 cm. If the “seeds” are too small for children’s hands, they can also be drawn on instead of cut out.
