Knitting Pattern for a Blanket

This is a very simple pattern with a great effect.

A cable-like look without a cable needle— this pattern uses only knit and purl stitches. The border is worked in seed stitch. The size of the blanket can easily be adjusted to your desired dimensions.

Once you’ve knitted the beginning of this scarf and no longer want to increase, this pattern is easy to follow.

You knit knit and purl stitches in the correct sequence; the pattern is easy to memorize. The pattern includes a written explanation of the pattern, as well as a knitting chart.

The cover for the tissue box is perfect for crocheting while watching TV. The wave pattern is very simple and practically works on its own. You’ll need a bit more concentration only for the shells and crabs used to decorate the box.
The box can be crocheted to any size. The box shown here measures 25 cm x 14 cm x 7.2 cm. For this, you’ll need
  • approx. 55 g of cotton yarn (approx. 115 m/50 g, e.g., Rico Cotton Print) in turquoise
  • a scrap of mint-colored cotton yarn (e.g., Schachenmayr Catania)
  • a scrap of pastel-colored cotton yarn
  • 3.0 mm crochet hook
  • 2.5 mm crochet hook

Super easy, and therefore also great for crocheting on the side while watching TV: these fruit glass coasters can also be used as glass covers. The hole in the middle is just big enough for a straw. This keeps drinks outdoors protected from insects and leaves.
Only simple circles are crocheted. With the matching colors, they turn into lemon, orange, kiwi, apple, and melon slices.
If you crochet the coasters a little larger and add a hanger, you can also use them as potholders.

The “Luftikus” cowl is knitted using a very simple, TV-friendly pattern.
It can be worn either way, and you’ll need 100g of yarn with a length of 350m, or 700m of lace yarn knitted double.

These leggings made from sock yarn are an excellent project to knit comfortably while watching TV. Your child or grandchild gets a garment that is both comfortable and warm and can certainly be worn for a long time. These leggings grow with them from ages 3-5.

This baby sleeping bag is also great to knit while watching TV. It is made from cuddly-soft merino wool that keeps your little one pleasantly warm. It fits from 3 to at least 12 months.

This poncho made from sock yarn is also very easy to knit on the side. It is wonderfully warm, cuddly-soft, and very lightweight. It will quickly become a favorite piece—that’s how it was for me.

The “Drifting Lines” triangular shawl is also wonderful to knit while watching TV...
This shawl combines an exciting design with plenty of knitting comfort: garter stitch, knitted entirely in one piece; at the end, you just need to weave in one starting and one ending end per color...
The stripes change direction several times; this is achieved through shortened rows and is very easy to follow.

Knitting pattern for a collar. Worn like a loop scarf, it warms the neck and also the shoulder area.

Knitted with knit and purl stitches, this pattern is easy to work on the side. The collar is knitted with a short circular needle and can be made with either a thick or a thinner yarn.

What would I recommend to my best friend if she asked me for a craft project that’s suitable for watching TV? Here are my 3 suggestions. All the designs and patterns are uncomplicated. You don’t have to count anything, just keep your fingers moving on the side. And you’ll still catch what’s happening in the movie.

I hope you enjoy my suggestions and maybe making them yourself.

Warm regards, Ina

1. Timeless baby or children’s blanket made from merino wool
--> soft, softer, cuddly soft and warm, breathable, temperature-regulating, easy pattern

2. A cowl

--> in 3 sizes, for the whole family, we just keep knitting the same simple stitch sequence in the round

3. Rug "Spirella"
--> we crochet with two strands held together, so everything is easy to see and you make quick progress.
