The “Scrap Eaters” love things that are playful, colorful, and imaginative. Even kids can help out here. They’re very easy to crochet from scraps, which can be used in any shape or color.

Very easy to crochet and suitable for many occasions. A great idea for children’s birthday parties, for example, since they can also be filled with small gifts. Later on, they can hold pens or similar items.

When gardening season begins, Victor the scarecrow is back in action! In the garden or on the balcony, he keeps an eye out for cheeky birds after your flower seeds, but he’s also happy to serve as decoration for the windowsill.
Victor is about 35 cm tall (without the stick) and can be crocheted from leftover yarn.

Spring is on its way—at least on your breakfast table! These lovely flower-shaped egg cozies are an ornament for any table, even if you don't eat eggs for breakfast at all! Tulip, bellflower, snowdrop, and daffodil can be crocheted from just a few bits of leftover yarn and also make a wonderful little hostess gift if you're invited to brunch, for example.

Crochet pattern for a blanket

Individual flowers are crocheted and joined to the existing ones right away in the final round. This way, you can shape your desired form while crocheting and keep changing it individually.

It also looks wonderful as a small doily.

You should be familiar with single crochet stitches, chain stitches, slip stitches, and double crochet.

Crochet Pattern for a Balloon Cover

You’ll crochet individual granny squares, which are then sewn together into a ball. An opening is left for changing the balloon. This way, the ball can be used both indoors and outdoors, since it always dries quickly after washing.

Oh, this is a broad topic. Here on Crazypatterns there are soooo many beautiful, creative, colorful ideas. You’ll have a hard time choosing. Here are my suggestions. For more information, pictures, and the pattern, just click on the headings.

I hope you have lots of fun with your next colorful project.
Warm regards from Ina

How about a hand-crocheted game for up to 4 people that’s also washable? The pattern includes the game board, the game pieces, and a matching bag. You can roll it up, pack it away, and stow it in your backpack. That makes it ideal for a day trip, too—no one is guaranteed to get bored.

Or how about a brightly colored heart-shaped pillow? You can use up your leftover yarn. First, we crochet lots of individual pieces, which we then crochet together to form a heart. The pillow is stuffed with synthetic batting and can therefore be washed completely in the washing machine if needed.

And my third suggestion would be a brightly colored round rug. Round by round, you choose the colors, and it looks different every time. It’s really fun. The back is rubberized so it won’t slip. We crochet with multiple strands of yarn so we can make quick progress.

You’ve probably made some snowflakes out of folded paper in your life. Here’s the colorful alternative for the warmer seasons.

These flowers are cut out of folded tissue paper. You’ll get templates for four different flower shapes in three sizes: 10, 15, and 20 cm. The flowers are very easy to make and are also great for crafting with children.

After the dark winter months, everyone is probably longing for lots of color. That’s why at Easter, the motto is: the more colorful, the better! Here I have something colorful for your windows.

These Easter eggs are made from photo cardstock and translucent paper. The large ones measure approx. 10 x 12.7 cm, and the small ones approx. 7.3 x 9 cm. They’re very easy to make, and their variety can be significantly expanded with additional color combinations.
