Hello,
I'm new to the forum. :)
I really enjoy crocheting amigurumi and decorative items.
Some time ago I discovered chenille/velour yarns for myself. I love it when things are so nice and soft! :)
Now, while browsing at Tedi, I came across a yarn I hadn’t had before. It’s called Soft Cloud (50g=53m, 100% polyester). It has a slight shine and is super velvety/silky.
Of course I couldn’t resist and just had to take it with me, and it has spontaneously become my favorite yarn. Unfortunately, at Tedi it’s always a matter of luck whether they have any, and which color is available.
Now comes my question: Does anyone know of a yarn/manufacturer that comes very close to this one? I’ve compared a lot already, but haven’t found anything. It’s thinner than Gründl Funny, YarnArt Dolce, or Himalaya Baby (these types are also too matte). YarnArt Velour has a similar shine, but feels duller and is too thin. Katia Velvet Fine is much too thin, but very similar in terms of velvetiness. I don’t want to order one skein of every kind of velvet yarn I find online just to compare. Maybe someone here has an idea?
