The baby winter set made from cozy sock yarn can be knitted very comfortably over a weekend—even from leftovers. For me, it was the leftovers from a pair of baby leggings.

The set consists of mittens, a hat, a neck warmer, and socks.

Quick to knit and perfect for using up leftover yarn: the Silver Wheat Band headband.

This lovely pattern, reminiscent of ears of wheat, is explained in detail in a photo tutorial and is easier to knit than it looks...

You’ll need about 50g of DK-weight yarn (i.e. with a yardage of about 200–220m per 100g). Knit with 3.5mm needles.

If you don’t have an Advent calendar yet but want to make one, now’s the time to “step on it!” With these little Christmas trees , you’ll still make it in time!

This is also a craft project you can’t go wrong with. It’s especially great for young women who don’t want to take off gloves with fingers just to use their phone.
